Poor Amanda Bynes. It looks like this is just the beginning of a whole new downfall. The actress was spotted in NYC with a huge bandage on her face (above), and was acting strangely. Here's what TMZ is reporting:

Oh, dear. I think we're all feeling a bit of deja-vu these days with Amanda Bynes, who seems to be back on the path to total meltdown. She got arrested earlier this week for another DUI, but it seems her troubles go far beyond that. As in, she also got kicked out of fashion school for smoking weed and exhibiting "bizarre behaviour" and since her parents think she is fine and doesn't have any mental illness, they won't get their conservatorship back and basically something really bad is probably going to happen.

Getting treatment for her mental health disorders was Amanda Bynes' saving grace, and now it seems like all that progress may just go down the tubes because her mother has taken her off ALL of her medication and her lawyer is claiming she was never schizophrenic at all.

"There has been much speculation about Amanda's medical condition. She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health...
Amanda Bynes has been doing so much better since leaving rehab - attending design school, patching up her relationship with her parents and generally getting her life together again. She got to go on a spring break trip to Cabo, Mexico, which was apparently a gift from her parents (and was a trip they accompanied her on).

A homeless woman in Los Angeles has filed an insane lawsuit against a bunch of Hollywood stars including Amanda Bynes, Halle Berry, Armie Hammer and the entire Disney corporation... just to get them all into a courtroom so they'll listen to her idea for a script. I'm not really sure how to feel about Amanda Bynes' return to the world of social networking. She's doing so well since leaving rehab - she's studying fashion design, spending time with her parents, receiving treatment for schizophrenia and Bipolar II and starting to get her life together again. Twitter is where a large part of her breakdown took place for all to see, so I'm not sure returning to it is a great idea, but here we are.
Amanda took to Twitter on Saturday to thank her longtime fans for sticking with her and to offer a mini update on what she's got going on these days. She's also deleted all but two of her previous tweets, which were retweets from followers. One of those is a picture of her as a Teletubby. Take from that what you will, I suppose.

You know, I really feel for Amanda Bynes. Homegirl went through a lot of shit last year before eventually ending up in rehab and being formally diagnosed with schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder. Treatment ended up being one of the best things that could have happened to her, and now she seems to be evening out and recovering well... which also means facing some of the shit she did while she was out of control and not managing her illness.
