Quincy Jones Tells It Straight July 2, 2009WendieMichael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Uncategorized After reading an entire Quincy Jones interview on the Style.com website, I have a new found respect for this dude. Finally, a celebrity is willing to speak the truth regarding Michael Jackson. Jackson was an addict, he didn't want to be black as evidenced by his skin bleaching and white, adopted kids, and he lied about having conditions that he probably didn't suffer from. Q: You were there to witness the strange evolution in Michael's appearance. Did you ever step in and saying anything about it? A: Oh, we talked about it all the time. Bu...
Bradley Cooper Continues To Dine With Female Stars To Throw Media Off Track July 2, 2009WendieBradley Cooper Bradley Cooper was briefly "dating" Jennifer Aniston. And when I say "dating," what I really mean is "being seen in public to dispel the rumor that he's engaged to be married to a certain celebrity blogger." He must have become bored with all the Brad talk, because he's "moved on." Now, the silly people at People are reporting that he's "dating" Renee Zellweger. They had dinner Tuesday night at Antonucci's in Manhattan and reportedly appeared to be a couple. He's an excellent actor. ...
Jessica Simpson Sings National Anthem, Remembers Lyrics July 2, 2009WendieJessica Simpson Jessica Simpson sang the National Anthem at a golf tournament that boyfriend Tony Romo -- he was booed by spectators, because he was a Dallas Cowboys quarterback golfing in Washington Redskins territory and that's bad -- played in yesterday in Bethesda, Maryland. And you know, she didn't suck. Some news outlets are calling her screechy, belting out of "The Star Spangled Banner" offensive, but those underdeveloped, overextended vocal cords have sold a massive amount of albums. She remembered the lyrics and no neighborhood cats appeared in hopes of using her leg as a scratching post. I consider it a success. What I do find offensive: Horizontal stripes on Jessica Simpson. Offensive. Every time....
$25 Will Get You Into Michael Jackson’s Funeral July 2, 2009WendieMichael Jackson Michael Jackson's memorial service is next Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Like all Michael's previous performances, ticket agencies will be involved. I think this is very sad. Michael's whole life seems to have been centered around making money. As a child, his focus was making money with Jackson 5 to help support his family. As an adult, he achieved huge heights of fame, yet seemed constantly plagued by the problems his fortune garnered him. Now, even the mourning of h...
Mischa Barton Continues To Believe She’s The Great-Granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin July 2, 2009WendieMischa Barton Mischa's looking so good these days as she trolls around London! Last night Cankles got kicked out of a toilet stall at Whiskey Mist nightclub. I think that should be engraved on her headstone: Mischa Barton~Kicked out of a toilet stall ... Now that Mischa's kinda, sorta working again, she's been seen stumbling all over the place, which is an activity I certainly enjoy observing and one that I've missed. Last night she tried to go into a single stall with one of her girlfriends. The washroom attendant -- and I'm sorry, but washroom attendants are creepy. I haven't needed hel...
R.I.P. Karl Malden July 1, 2009WendieUncategorized Karl Malden passed away today at the very ripe old age of 97. Best known for his television role on The Streets of San Francisco -- one of my all-time favorites as a kid -- Malden also appeared in Streetcar Named Desire, On the Waterfront, and How the West Was Won. In my personal estimation, his most admirable accomplishment is that he is survived by his wife of 71 years. You read that right: 71 years. Prayers and positive thoughts go out to the entire Malden family....
Quotables July 1, 2009WendieTaylor Swift "For me, rebelling is done with words. I love to write honest songs that name real people, then get up onstage and live out those emotions in front of 15,000 people. Penciling in a night to get wasted is not something I want to do." Taylor Swift, speaking in the upcoming issue of Glamour and basically ensuring that she never has another date....
Supermodel Threatens Plastic Surgeon July 1, 2009WendieUncategorized I don't know if everyone will remember Karen Mulder but in the early nineties (bottom picture) she was a pretty well-known (super?)model who did a lot of runway and Victoria's Secret print work. In the late part of that decade, she suffered from some serious mental issues in which she accused her father of sexually molesting her and Prince Albert of Monaco of using her as a sex slave. She was admitted to a mental health clinic for several months, emerged, and recanted most of her earlier allegations. I don't really know what she's been up to for the ...
Michael Jackson’s Will July 1, 2009WendieMichael Jackson Michael Jackson's will was filed and there weren't too many surprises. One thing that was unexpected is that Jackson named Diana Ross as the guardian of his children if his mother Katherine was unable to fulfill the obligation. Ross seems like such an odd choice considering her age (65), as well as her documented struggle with alcohol addiction. Well, it would be an odd choice except for the fact that Michael Jackson was the decision maker. Therefore, it really was to be expected. In other oddit...
This Is Courtney Love. I’m Not Kidding. July 1, 2009WendieCourtney Love This is Courtney Love sleeping on walking down the streets of New York City yesterday. Can someone please intervene on this woman's behalf before we have another Michael Jackson on our hands? Let's not get to the point where she's just dead and then every family member, friend, and aide around her tells the media that they knew this day would come. And if you think I'm overstating things, watch this little TMZ clip from a couple weeks ago. Love shares the contents of her purse -- syring...
Lindsay Can’t Stop Working. The Clubs, That Is. July 1, 2009WendieLindsay Lohan I didn't even see this coming, but I think Lindsay Lohan is going to try her hand at stand-up comedy. I was under the misguided impression that she was a dramatic actress, but then I read what she said in an interview to Britain's OK Magazine: It's not that hard to be me, but I do work harder than most of my friends' parents. I am the hardest-working person I know. I'm a workaholic. I don't know what to do when I'm not working. I get creatively frustrated I prefer to be making films. For m...
People, Please Don’t Kill Yourself Over Michael Jackson! June 30, 2009WendieMichael Jackson I cannot believe this! At least twelve fanatical Michael Jackson worshippers have committed suicide since the King of Pop's death. Did this happen when Elvis or John Lennon died? I am beyond troubled. Please -- no one's death should result in people ending their own lives! Even Jesse Jackson agrees....
