'The Simpsons Funday Football' is coming to ESPN this December!
In an announcement made last night, Disney, ESPN and the National Football League say they're bringing the Simpsons to Monday night football in a first time game feature Homer vs Bart. December 9th.
In a "Live" event, the Atoms Stadium in Springfield will host the fully immersive fan viewing experience featuring the Cincinnati Bengals at the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Monday Night Football game that evening.
Simpsons voice actors Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith will voice several characters in prerecorded bits and skits. Outside of the live plays, Simpsons producers have written original material to be used before, during and after the game.
Here's all the details Disney.com revealed.
Surrounding the gameplay, Marge and Lisa will interview players during the game and Maggie will fly the SkyCam, while popular characters, show references, and aesthetics will bring a real Sunday-night-with-the-Simpsons feel to Monday Night Football.
A Myriad of Simpsons Characters: The telecast will feature dozens the show’s iconic characters, with each playing into their well-known persona.
Authentic Simpsons Voices:Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, and Yeardley Smith will voice several of their characters in prerecorded bits and skits.
Picking Sides: Homer and Bart will rally their supporters who will join them on their respective sidelines throughout the matchup. Lisa, Krusty, Nelson, Milhouse, and Ralph will be with Bart (Bengals), while Carl, Barney, Lenny, and Moe will be with Homer (Cowboys).
Custom Simpsons Scenes and Writing: Outside of the live game, Simpsons producers have written original content for the telecast that will be utilized before, during, and after the game.
The Simpsons Music: The timeless theme song and more jingles from the show will be employed.
The Simpsons and ESPN: Animated segments incorporating Stephen A. Smith, Peyton and Eli Manning, and others will appear in the telecast, with their segments written by the Simpsons creators.
Bengals and Cowboys Players: Players from both teams will have pre-recorded segments which include interactions with Simpsons characters.

Sunday afternoon a youtuber named Anthony Po hosted a Timothee Chalamet look-a-like contest in Manhattan. You may recall Anthony Po as the Cheese Ball man. If not, no worries.
So All these Timothee looking MF'ers show up and toss their curly locks around when suddenly bodyguards appear. They're flanking the REAL Timothee. The crowd goes insane.
Timothee took pics and signed a few things before jetting off from the people, but the magic was cast and a core memory is created.
Police also came to the event to chase off contestants as this was not a gathering anyone got permits for. But according to Po, it was a simple $500 fine.

In a move not shocking to many (but maybe the brothers) Erik and Lyle Menendez just got word the LA District Attorney has recommended recentencing for the pair sentenced to life for the 1989 murder of their parents.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon announced Thursday he will ask the court tomorrow for resentencing at which time the brothers will immediately be given Parole.
Gascón held a news conference o announce his decision following growing calls to consider resentencing for the brothers, who are serving life in prison without the possibility of parole after they were convicted of first-degree murder in the slayings of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez, in 1989. Gascón could also recommend a new trial, or make no recommendation at all, keeping their conviction and sentencing as is.

The brothers' defense team for the past year has been urging a resentencing based on what it says is new evidence backing the brothers' claims to sexual and physical abuse by their parents.
Now Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said he plans to decide by the end of the week his position on a possible resentencing of the Menendez brothers.
Gascón said he originally intended to formulate a position on the defense arguments by a November hearing. But given the renewed public attention on the case generated by a new Netflix documentary out this month, he is stepping up that timeline.

His label Conquest Music confirmed that he died at home in Salisbury, adding: “Despite being troubled by severe health issues in recent years that restricted him to performing in a wheelchair, Paul continued to entertain his fans around the world, racking up well over 100 shows since 2023.”
Born Paul Andrews in Chingford, east London, to a Brazilian father and British mother, Di’Anno joined the nascent Iron Maiden after an audition in November 1978, the band having been formed by bassist Steve Harris three years earlier.
Iron Maiden had already gone through two frontmen, and Di’Anno was initially unimpressed: “Their old singer had this silly sword and fake blood dripping from his mouth and me and my mate were pissing ourselves laughing,” he later said. “But when we started playing together it just seemed to gel.” In another interview, he explained: “The Maiden boys were lovely young people you could have introduced to your nan. She would have loved them. But if she’d met me, she’d have died of a heart attack within a minute … I brought them madness and an over-the-top aspect.”

Football star and (more importantly) ex husband of Kristen Cavellari, Jay Cutler has been arrested for driving under the influence and gun charges.
He was jailed on Thursday after he was stopped while allegedly driving intoxicated in Franklin, as first reported by TMZ.
He was released from the Williamson County Jail later on Thursday after posting a $5,000 bond.
Police have not released more details of the circumstances of Cutler's arrest.
Cutler was married to Cavallari, 37, for nearly a decade before they divorced in 2022.
They share three children - Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and Saylor, 8.
The former couple starred in their own reality show on E! called Very Cavallari which followed their life in Nashville.
Cutler spent 12 years in the NFL, most notably as the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

The brothers killed their wealthy parents in 1989 after what they allege was years of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of both parents.
Now a coalition called "Justice for Eric and Lyle" are trying to free the two men, now in their 50's, as time served. Many supporters are citing the release of Gypsy Rose (who murdered her month after a lifetime of Munchausen by proxy torture), as a case that bares many similarities with very different punishments.
You might think the release of the Ryan Murphy Netflix drama series, "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story," was the catalyst for the coalition, but the work to free them has been non stop since they went in and they are just now down to their last appeal. So their attorneys are throwing everything at the wall to get something to stick and that's caused the most of the movement in the case.
Now word what is going to be presented to the DA or when, but I hope it's good. I agree they've served their time.

Initially Van Halen had David Lee Roth as a lead singer and then after in fighting they brought in Sammy Hagar, who was just as popular. Now the band is trying to do a reunion tour with DLR until it hit a hitch.
Alex Van Halen, who founded the band with his brother, opened up to Rolling Stone about the collapse of the tour.
Alex Van Halen confirmed to the magazine, in a piece published Tuesday, that rumors of a planned tour following Eddie Van Halen's death were true, and there were even early rehearsals featuring himself on drums with original lead vocalist David Lee Roth. However, the plans fell through following an explosive argument over paying tribute to the band's late cofounder.
“The thing that broke the camel’s back, and I can be honest about this now,” Alex Van Halen revealed, “was I said, ‘Dave, at some point, we have to have a very overt — not a bowing — but an acknowledgment of Ed in the gig. If you look at how Queen does it, they show old footage.’ And the moment I said we gotta acknowledge Ed, Dave f---in’ popped a fuse.… The vitriol that came out was unbelievable.”
Alex Van Halen said he had several phone conversations with Queen’s Brian May about how the band performs while still honoring the group’s late singer, Freddie Mercury. But he said Roth allegedly simply refused to pay tribute to his brother. “It’s just, my God. It’s like I didn’t know him anymore. I have nothing but the utmost respect for his work ethic and all that. But, Dave, you gotta work as a community, motherf---er. It’s not you alone anymore,” Alex Van Halen said. The magazine noted that Roth declined to comment on the matter.
Ultimately, he said he feels okay about the canceled tour, and he’s still in touch with Roth.
“It’s too bad on one hand, but it’s fine on the other,” he said. “Because now, in retrospect, playing the old songs is not really paying tribute to anybody. That’s just like a jukebox, in my opinion. … To find a replacement for Ed? It’s just not the same.”
