Whoopi Goldberg was and will be the star of the Sister Act franchise, so I have to think her opinion carries some weight in the decision process for casting the belove film's 3rd installment.
Speaking tonight on Comedy Central’s Hell of A Week with host Charlamagne Tha God, Goldberg listed Lizzo, Keke Palmer, and Nikki Minaj as among those she’d like to bring to the third edition of the film comedy.
“I want everybody,” she said when asked about casting. “I want as many people who want to have some fun, because I really, desperately need to have some fun.”
The original Sister Act did more than 231 million worldwide at the box office, with its sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit at 125 million worldwide.

This information is just coming in, so bare with us. TMZ is reporting that Brandy Norwood was recovering in an LA hospital after suffering a seizure.
Law enforcement official say the got an EMZ call to brandy's home at noon on Tuesday.
A source told TMZ they believe Brandy suffered a seizure and that she is still in the hospital today.
No word on if seizures are a health issue that Brandy has dealt with in the past or if the event was completely out of the blue.

Elon Musk says he has spoken to Kanye West and expressed his concerns about the rapper's recent anti-Semitic tweet.
Musk is in the middle of a supposed takeover of Twitter so naturally that's where he went to make his statements.
"Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart," Musk wrote on Twitter.
West was locked out of his Twitter account on Saturday after he tweeted: 'I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can't be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.'
The tweet has been deleted, but Kanye has yet to make any statement apologizing or otherwise.

I want to apologize for being so direct in my headline. I hope it didn't trigger anyone. I just didn't want to sugarcoat anything. You see Danny Masterson, known best for his role of Steven Hyde on "That 70's Show" is currently on trial for rape. And it should be named as such.
Masterson is also a Scientologist and many believe that could help or hurt him, depending on your belief of how powerful the church is.
But at a pre-trial hearing last week, Judge Charlaine Olmedo laid down a basic ground rule. “This is not going to become a trial on Scientology,” she said.
Masterson and all three of his victims are Scientologists and at a preliminary hearing in May 2021, all three said they feared violating the church’s rules and being cut off from their faith community.
“If you have a legal situation, you may not handle it externally from the church,” testified one of the accusers, who is referenced as N. Trout in the proceedings. “You’ll be excommunicated.”
So there are many layers to this trial, not least of which are three accusations of rape. We'll follow closely to see what happens next.

Judy Tenuta, a Late Show staple comedian from the 80's and 90's, has died at the age of 72.
Judy was known as the 'Goddess of Love' and spoke with a unique high pitch voice, played the accordion, and always wore a flower in her hair.
Tenuta died Thursday afternoon at home in Los Angeles, with her family around her, publicist Roger Neal told The Associated Press. The cause of death was ovarian cancer.
“She was a very funny, amazing performer,” Neal said, and it was always a “happy time to be around her.”
“Devastated to hear of the passing of my dear, dear friend, the lovely Miss Judy Tenuta. I can’t believe she’s gone,” tweeted Weird Al Yankovic, who worked with her on his 1990s TV series and a 2006 music video. “Earth has truly lost a goddess.”
Michael McKean, of “Spinal Tap” fame, tweeted, “One of a kind. Damn.”
