Geena Davis is an A list in any book. Her films have won oscars, (Thelma And Louise), globes, (A league of their own), and made her a house name. But she shared some advice she's had since she first broke into acting.
Geena's first film was opposite Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. Geena says Dustin told her that when she comes up against Hollywood big shots hitting on her to just say “Well, you’re very attractive. I would love to, but it would ruin the sexual tension between us.”
Genna filed it away until just after the movie came out, she said her modeling agent took her and “a couple of other actor-slash-models to Hollywood to meet casting directors.”
Her agent knew Jack Nicolson and he began having dinner with her and her peers every night.
One night when she got home a note was left for her telling her to call Jack and his telephone number.
She called the number and said: “So I said, ‘Hello, Mr. Nicholson. This is Geena. You called me?’ He said, ‘Hey, Geena. When is it gonna happen?'” she claimed.
“I was like, ‘Oh, no — why didn’t I realize this is what it was going to be about?'” she told the New Yorker. “But it immediately came into my head what to say: ‘Uh, Jack, I would love to. You’re very attractive. But I have a feeling we’re going to work together at some point in the future, and I would hate to have ruined the sexual tension between us.'”
“He was like, ‘Oh, man, where’d you get that?'” the actress recalled. “So it worked.”
Lol. Always appeal to the ego and you'll never go wrong.

Now you can, sort of, visit the home for some coffee and cheese cake. When the Golden Girls Pop-up Kitchen comes to New York City.

Lana Del Rey took to twitter this week to share her personal experience with the increase of robberies lately.
Del Rey says she parked her car on Melrose Place and when she got back someone had broken all her windows and stolen her backpack from the car.
In that backpack were three camcorders, multiple hard drives, and her computer. And on those drives and computer were unreleased songs and 200 pages of a book she had been writing for Simon and Shuster, all of which was gone now.
Lana says she did not have her book backed up to the cloud because she just doesn't have a cloud service. To that I point to Simon and Shuster. You should insist on cloud backup with all the contracted books you agreed to. This shit should not be able to happen in 2022.
Lana was forced to delete it all to save it from getting leaked and will just have to start again.

If you weren't up on the saga that is the Olivia Wilde/Jason Sudeikis' Nannygate texts... you just gotta.
To summarize, while Olivia and Jason's relationship (that produced two kids) was dissolving, the nanny was very much a go-between as well as a victim of their anger and shenanigans.
That doesn't excuse her releasing text conversation that the couple considered private, but the content is soooo gooood.
One particular account had Olivia leaving the house and Jason and running off with her 'special salad dressing' that she apparently would make special for the family.
Knowing that she was racing the food to Harry, Jason lays down under Olivia's car to prevent her from leaving. She eventually got away and the nanny was brought back to the house to put the kids to bed.
Now, after hearing the text were released, Olivia has released a cheeky response.

Matthew Perry's long awaited memoir, 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing', is set to come out on November first. And people are chomping at the bit. In part because of previews like the one he laid on People.com.
Matthew talks about the time just a few years ago when he almost died. When his opioid addiction had gotten so severe his colon actually exploded. You read that right. Exploded.
“The doctors told my family that I had a 2 percent chance to live,” he said. Explaining he spent two weeks in a coma and five months in the hospital and had to use a colostomy bag for nine months to treat the health crisis.
“I was put on a thing called an ECMO machine, which does all the breathing for your heart and your lungs. And that’s called a Hail Mary. No one survives that.”

Meghan Markle had Paris Hilton on her podcast, "Archetypes" this week in an attempt, as she says, to humanize her. Which, I am sure, was a difficult task. Hilton has admitted to playing a persona most of her life for the public.
But Markle told Vanity Fair magazine she grew up judging Paris because “I grew up as the smart one. So much of what I ended up thinking about, when I thought about Paris, was envy and judgment — two of the most dangerous things,” Markle explained.
She goes on to say that if you hear about the trauma Paris faced you can understand where she's coming from. But I'm still wondering how Paris felt being low key referred to as 'not smart'.
She goes on to say “I don’t care what situation you’re in — if a 16-year-old boy or girl, or a woman in the workplace, feels objectified or dehumanized because their character is misrepresented,” Markle added, “I hope everyone listening with an open mind could come away thinking, ‘Could I just actually consider for a second that there’s a person there?'”

James Corden recently decided to check out of his lackluster tv show and head back to the UK. And it sounds like some New Yorkers will be glad to see him go.
Keith McNally owns one of New York City's most beloved restaurants, Balthazar. Last night he took to Instagram to share why he has officially banned Corden from his restaurant. Here is that post in full:
James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.
I don't often 86 a customer, to today I 86'd Corden. It did not make me laugh. Here are two examples of the funny man's treatment of my staff.
MANAGER'S REPORT # 1:
'In June, James Corden was here on table 61. (Although this is diabolical, it happens Very occasionally in all restaurants.) After eating his main course, Corden showed the hair to Balthazar manager G. who was very apologetic. Corden was extremely nasty to G, and said: “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that." '
MANAGER'S REPORT # 2:
'James Corden was at Balthazar with his wife on October 9th for brunch. He asked for a table outside. Brunch Maitre D' Allie Wolters took the party to table 301. Mr. Corden's wife ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad. A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, M. K. and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk. M. K. informed the floor manager, G. The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad. That's when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: "You can't do your job! You can't do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!" M.K. was very apologetic and brought G. over to the table. He returned the dish, and after that, everything was fine. He gave them promo Champagne glasses to smooth things out. G. said that Corden was pleasant to him but nasty to the server.' M.K. was very shaken, but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift.'
THAT is some series smoke. Shots fired. Corden has yet to respond.

Make no mistake. Heidi Klum is a slave to attention and is known for a near constant presence on social media. Her AGT cohosts say as soon as the show would go to break she whipped out the phone to go live on IG.
So when I heard she did a photo shoot with her freshly 18 year old daughter for lingerie brand Intimissimi, I knew it would be cringe.
Daughter Leni, who is the daughter of Heidi and Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, can be seen romping around playfully with her mother in a bra and panties. But some (myself included) think it's just a bit too playful for mother and daughter.

It's something BTS fans have been fearing for a while now. The boy band members are going to fulfill their duties of mandatory service in the South Korean army.
Under South Korean law, all able-bodied men are required to serve between 18 and 21 months in the military before their 30th birthday.
"BIG HIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service," said a statement posted on the band's social media pages.
The guys had just performed a free show in Busan to support South Korea's bid for the 2030 World Expo when the announcement was made.
"After the phenomenal concert to support Busan's bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it's the perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve," added the BTS release.
According to the release the oldest member of the band, Jin, will be the first to serve in October, shortly before he turns 30 in December.
"He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government," it continued.
"Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans," added the release. "Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment."

That's why I had to share this Met's players moment that the MLB Conference this weekend.
Francisco Lindor's 21 month old daughter Kalina was front and center with dad while he answered questions from the press. That's when she spotted the Met's manager, Buck Showalter, in the back of the room.
"Papa, Buck!" she said to her dad as she pointed off-camera.
"Yeah, Buck left," he replied to his little girl, before telling reporters, "She loves Buck."
