The world lost Fleetwood Mac's Christie McVie last week at the age of 79 and coincidentally an auction of her belongs was just a few days later, this weekend.
According to the auction house, McVie’s maxi dress, which she wore on the back cover of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest album, Rumours, sold for $56,250 — five times its original estimate of $10,000.
A dress she wore to the 1976 Rock Music Awards went for $31,250, while her two American Music Awards dresses from 1978 went for $16,000 and $12,800. Her piano accordion, which she used to perform “Tusk” live onstage, sold for just over $11,500.
Items from John McVie and Mick Fleetwood were sold, as well. John’s custom fretless bass guitar, which he used to record the classic song “The Chain” and played live onstage from 1976 to 1980, sold for $100,000.

One of the most beloved/hated characters on the hit show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' has confirmed he's returning!
Richard Lewis informed fans by tweeting about his imminent return to the world of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Lewis, who’s appeared off and on the series for more than two decades, struggled with numerous health issues that made his participation uncertain.
“I’m back shooting Curb! I’m a lucky cat to be with my oldest pal who just so happens to be a genius,” Lewis tweeted. “Don’t tell him I called him that or he’ll mock me to my grave. A 22 year ride so far!”
As Deadline noted, Lewis only appeared in one episode in season 11. The comedian spent time away from the show while recovering from multiple surgeries on his back and shoulders.
