Owen Wilson is ready to get back to his comedy roots. The actor is starring in a new film about a painter that seems really familiar to Gen Xers.
In the 70's and 80's the hottest art show on tv was a fro-licious, soft spoken painter on PBS. Bob Ross would narrate his work by telling viewers how to paint "happy little clouds" and "Happy little trees".
Now Owen is playing a character very clearly based on the beloved Ross in his new film "Paint".
The cast of hysterical people include cast that includes Wendi McLendon-Covey, Lusia Strus, Michaela Watkins, Stephen Root and Lucy Freyer.
IFC Films plans to release the comedy in theaters on April 7. Later in the year, viewers will be able to stream it on AMC+. Check out the trailer.

Robert Pattinson and his partner Suki Waterhouse just bought a charming 2,725 sq ft home in the Hollywood Hills. And the place has some pedigree.
According to Dirt.com, The home was originally renovated back in the mid 2000's by celebrity reality star Jeff Lewis. Jeff sold the home to singer Beck and wife Marissa Ribisi. When the couple divorced in 2021 Ribisi got the house and now sold it to Rob and Suki.

The actress removed her engagement ring, removed all photos of the pair from her instagram and unfollowed her one time fiance. To me that says we're over.
But sources close to the paid told People.com that they are just fighting and not finished. I think maybe someone should tell Megan Fox that.

No one has even eluded to a release date, but knowing it's already in development, we can feel strongly it will hit theaters around Fall 2006.
No cast has been confirmed for Frozen 3 yet, but we expect to see Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel reprising their roles as Anna and Elsa respectively. Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff are also likely to returns as Olaf and Kristoff too.
Martha Plimpton, Sterling K. Brown, Alfred Molina, Jason Ritter and Rachel Matthews were cast newcomers in Frozen II who all survived the movie, so they might return too.

Evangeline Lilly and Jeremy Renner are pretty good friends. That was evident by her making a visit to the injured actor at his home in Los Angeles.
The actress told Extra that her visit with Renner was intense and remarked he was incredibly brave and strong.
"He was in a wheelchair," she said. "And when we made that movie [2008's The Hurt Locker], he was so young and he was full of verve, and I remember just being so impressed by him. What's so ironic is at that point I was like the 'celebrity cameo' on some level because I was on Lost, and I was like, 'Who's this kid?' "
"He has recovered like a mo-fo," said Lilly. "I walked in his house and got chicken skin, 'cause I was like, 'Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What's happening?' I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn't able to move. He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It's a miracle, a straight-up miracle."
She added, "He's made of something really tough, that guy. You've always been able to see that in him. He is recovering incredibly, and I'm so grateful."
Adding more about the "intense" recent visit to Renner's house, Lilly said, "He had a near-death experience that was highly traumatic — and he was awake for the whole thing. It really has stuck with me. It's been days and I'm still having moments where some of the stuff he told me that he experienced and retelling me the story of what went on and things he could hear and things he could see...."
"He's got a journey to go through now," she said. "That's what nightmares are made out of, and he lived through it and he's on the other side now."

This week SJP opened her darling shoe store on Bleaker Street. Not far from where Jessica and her family live. The store is pink art deco style and looks like it would be so fun to shop in.

A Broadway musical of La La Land, the movie that was essentially Hollywoods love letter to itself, is being created by Tony-winning producer Marc Platt.
The film starred Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling as an aspiring actress and jazz musician, respectively, trying to live their dreams in Los Angeles. Which is often referred to as La La Land, due its disconnect with the real world.
“I’m thrilled to reunite with Lionsgate and the incredible team behind La La Land to adapt the movie for the Broadway stage, the next exciting chapter in its evolution,” said Platt, who also produced the movie. “We’ve assembled a world-class team to create a musical that will delight La La Land’s millions of current fans and introduce the property to a whole new audience.”
La La Land’s planned adaptation to the Broadway stage follows the launch of several live stage productions based on Lionsgate film and television properties including Dirty Dancing, Now You See Me, Wonder and Nashville.
