Evangeline Lilly and Jeremy Renner are pretty good friends. That was evident by her making a visit to the injured actor at his home in Los Angeles.
The actress told Extra that her visit with Renner was intense and remarked he was incredibly brave and strong.
"He was in a wheelchair," she said. "And when we made that movie [2008's The Hurt Locker], he was so young and he was full of verve, and I remember just being so impressed by him. What's so ironic is at that point I was like the 'celebrity cameo' on some level because I was on Lost, and I was like, 'Who's this kid?' "
"He has recovered like a mo-fo," said Lilly. "I walked in his house and got chicken skin, 'cause I was like, 'Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What's happening?' I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn't able to move. He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It's a miracle, a straight-up miracle."
She added, "He's made of something really tough, that guy. You've always been able to see that in him. He is recovering incredibly, and I'm so grateful."
Adding more about the "intense" recent visit to Renner's house, Lilly said, "He had a near-death experience that was highly traumatic — and he was awake for the whole thing. It really has stuck with me. It's been days and I'm still having moments where some of the stuff he told me that he experienced and retelling me the story of what went on and things he could hear and things he could see...."
"He's got a journey to go through now," she said. "That's what nightmares are made out of, and he lived through it and he's on the other side now."

A Broadway musical of La La Land, the movie that was essentially Hollywoods love letter to itself, is being created by Tony-winning producer Marc Platt.
The film starred Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling as an aspiring actress and jazz musician, respectively, trying to live their dreams in Los Angeles. Which is often referred to as La La Land, due its disconnect with the real world.
“I’m thrilled to reunite with Lionsgate and the incredible team behind La La Land to adapt the movie for the Broadway stage, the next exciting chapter in its evolution,” said Platt, who also produced the movie. “We’ve assembled a world-class team to create a musical that will delight La La Land’s millions of current fans and introduce the property to a whole new audience.”
La La Land’s planned adaptation to the Broadway stage follows the launch of several live stage productions based on Lionsgate film and television properties including Dirty Dancing, Now You See Me, Wonder and Nashville.

Ben Stiller is set to play triplets in an upcoming limited series called Three Identical Strangers.
The series tells the story of triplets Bobby Shafran, David Kellman, and Eddy Galland (all played by Ben) who were separated at birth in a bizarre social experiment back in 1961.
The identical brothers were used to help further understand the concept of "Nature Versus Nurture" and that meant some really strange choices. For instance one boy was sent to live in a low income home, another in a middle class home and the third in an affluent home.
Over the years, the boys would be visited regularly to document their progress.
A documentary of the same name was made by two of the brothers (Galland died of suicide in 1995) in 2018 and it won top prize at The Sundance Film Festival.
There's no word on when we can expect to see it, but since there are no real big budget effects to create, I'm hoping for Spring 2024. A trailer for the documentary is below.

According to TMZ, the 75-year-old actor was driving around the city when a bicyclist 'suddenly swerved into his lane and made contact' with his car before he had a chance to slow down.
Three witnesses on the scene confirmed the details to TMZ as well as police.
The biker was taken to the hospital for her injuries and was last said to be in stable condition.

I feel like I hear nothing but complaints lately about how fast Netflix cancels shows after one season when they haven't really had a chance to catch fire.
Meanwhile a show I personal thought was doomed from the start just got extended. "That 90's Show," the spinoff of "That 70's Show," has gotten a second season.
The cast and crew will return for the second season, which featured plenty of cameos from That ’70s Show stars. It will also take the show a year forward as it will take place in 1996.
