Earlier in the week Drew Barrymore opened up to the audience at her talk show about having to leave her therapist after her split from husband, Will Kopleman.
Drew explained that Barry Michels, known as the therapist to the stars, told Drew he was going to have to suspend treatment due to her excessive drinking.
"He just said, 'I can't do this anymore,'" Barrymore told the publication. "It was really about my drinking. I said, 'I get it. I've never respected you more. You see I'm not getting better. And I hope, one day, that I can earn your trust back.'"
Now Barry has released a statement saying "Occasionally a therapist has to suspend treatment until a patient is willing to stop certain chronic self-destructive behaviors that are impeding the therapy."
Michels elaborated in his statement, noting that he was able to reconvene with Barrymore after she stopped drinking.
"Fortunately, in this case, I was dealing with Drew Barrymore — one of the strongest and most stalwart people I've ever met," he said. "She did the right thing for herself, and we were able to resume our treatment together."
I'm so jealous of a strong therapist/client relationship like that. I hope it serves as inspiration to all.

A list of top name musicians are coming together to do a sort of 'Live Aid' concert this summer to benefit the people of Ukraine while the continue to be attacked on by Russia.
The Rolling Stones, The Killers, Pink! and U2 have reportedly all signed up to host 'Lviv,' named for a city in Ukraine. Some calling it 'Lviv Aid'.
The concert will be June 24th at Wembley Stadium. As well it will be televised worldwide in an attempt to send a strong message to Putin - and The Sun reports that big names such as Adele, Sir Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher are also likely to be approached.
Live Aid was held at the same London venue to raise funds for Ethiopian famine victims in 1985.

Pete Davidson was out with his current girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, when the craziest thing happened.
Pete was driving himself and Chase around Beverly Hills at what TMZ reports was a high rate speed. Pete lost control of the car, resulting in it going over the curb, hitting the hydrant, and ultimately running into the side of a house.
Police confirmed the crash which happened at 11pm on Saturday.
TMZ also said that police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role. But Pete will still be responsible for fixing damages. (see below)

But Ryan had since separated from Maci and married a woman named MacKenzie.
Two days ago MacKenzie filed for divorce and she also got a restraining order against him. MacKenzie was also granted temporary custody of the couple's children, Jagger, 5, and Stella, 2, the outlet reported.
Now we've learned 35 year old Ryan was arrested Wednesday for stalking her.
In his arrest, Edwards was charged with violating an order of protection, and possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.
He was taken into custody and held on a bond of $5,000, the outlet reported.
Prior to Edwards' arrest, he took to social media with a picture of Mackenzie topless, captioning the image, 'If you guys have never seen a spineless s*** this is one.'
He added: 'They take your money sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife to [sic]. God what a joke. It's sad really.'
Really scary stuff. I hope MacKenzie has loved ones to lean on during this crazy mess.
