Muggles still waiting to receive their letter from Hogwarts will soon have a chance to buy the next best thing: the Hogwarts acceptance letter that appears in the first installment of the Harry Potter film franchise. The parcel is part of a handful of Harry Potter props set to be auctioned off by the Prop Store in London on September 26.
In 2011 film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry, played by a young Daniel Radcliffe, receives an avalanche of Hogwarts acceptance letters delivered to his cupboard under the stairs at number 4 Privet Drive. The prop going up for bid is the real letter that Radcliffe is seen holding in the movie. The feature that distinguishes it from the other prop letters used on set is its red wax seal, which has fragmented over the years. The envelope itself is made from marble-effect paper and has Harry’s address written in green ink on the front and the Hogwarts crest stamped on the back.
The Hogwarts letter is listed for a starting bid of $1960 and is expected to sell for between $3930 and $6550. Fans and prospective buyers who wish to see the item in person can find it at the free preview exhibition at Waterloo's BFI IMAX from September 7 to September 26.

Cher lashed out at a Twitter user who questioned her intention to help some of the people affected by the President's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act.
On Tuesday the White House announced its decision to roll back DACA, much to the chagrin of many politicians and celebrities on both sides of the aisle.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA, was an Obama-era program that granted work permits and protection from deportation for illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as children by Family Members.
Cher took to Twitter to say she is prepared to take in DACA children if need be, but one reader doubted her. That's when Cher broke out the B word.

Tiffany’s publicists had emailed Harper’s Magazine, instead of Harper’s Bazaar, the one that defines itself as “America’s first fashion magazine.”

For some, September 4th is just a regular day, but for millions around the world, it is a celebration of Beyoncé's birthday.
Diva turned 36 years old on Monday and her family and close friends, including former first lady Michelle Obama, paid tribute to the mother-of-three in a rather fitting way by getting in formation.
Obama, tennis star Serena Williams, her mother Tina Knowles, her daughter Blue Ivy, her mother-in-law Gloria Carter along with former Destiny's Child band mates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland all joined together to recreate the singer's now-iconic look from her 'Formation' music video.
The beloved women in her life all dressed in one of her most notable outfits - an off-the-shoulder black top, over-sized silver necklace and an extra-large brimmed black hat to obscure their eyes. They finished the look off by sporting two long black braids.
The poignant series of photos showing the important women in Beyonce's life were published to her website along with the following message: 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEYONCÉ FROM YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS'.
The message on the site also urged everyone to support relief efforts in the singer's hometown of Houston after it was left devastated when hurricane Harvey made landfall on August 25.

Deadline news is reporting a remake of 'Lord of the Flies' is being written and directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel. But here's the rub... All female cast.
The pair said they hoped to do a "very faithful but contemporised adaptation of the book", which they said was about children "replicating the behaviour they saw in grown-ups."
They hope the new film - which is still in the early concept stages - could break away from conventions around the "ways we think of boys and aggression."

Richard Anderson -- who played the government agent who cooked up the idea for "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" in the 1970s -- has died.
Anderson passed away Thursday at his Beverly Hills home, according to his publicist. He famously portrayed OSI honcho Oscar Goldman on both TV shows. It's his voice you hear in the show open talking about making Steve Austin "the world's first bionic man."
He had nearly 200 roles during his six-decade career ... starrin...
A lot of people put down the Burning Man festival for having gone corporate or elitist in the last decade. What with the private jet parking and all the celebrity inclusion. Although Paris Hilton is hardly a cause for concern. She'll go almost anywhere.
But I still cherish the tons of art and costumery that gets made for the event each August in the desert of Nevada. It's really a setting like no other and despite the fact that the uberwealthy like to chill in the same sandy playa, doesn't mean you can't appreciate the scenery as well.
The festival ends Monday, September 4th.
