Andy Warhol's estate lost its U.S. Supreme Court copyright fight with celebrity photographer Lynn Goldsmith on Thursday
If you know Andy Warhol's work you know he basically takes already existing photos of celebrities and screen prints them with color and pattern to create pop sensations. But that's not entirely legal.
The estate of Any Warhold was sued by the photographer who took the photo of musician Prince that Warhol used in one of his best selling works. She was seeking compensation. The same way a song writer gets paid when a musician puts out music.
The court ruled Goldsmith's work was copyrighted.
The case has been watched closely in the art world and entertainment industry for its implications regarding the legal doctrine called fair use, which promotes freedom of expression by allowing the use of copyright-protected works under certain circumstances without the owner's permission.

Yesterday Harry and Meghan were at the Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan where Meghan was getting an award. When they left they claimed they were chased in their cat by paparazzi so aggressively it nearly ended in a catastrophe.
But there are a number of people and outlets questioning that.
Point 1: They said the chase lasted 2 hours, but the security detail said they were at their hotel in 20 mins.
Point 2: No one can move beyond a speed of 20 mph in daytime Manhattan traffic.
Point 3: Photogs from Backgrid, who is somehow on the hook for this, has said they had paps on bicycles and they simply weren't capable of the chaos they were blamed for.
Now lord KNOWS the Paps can be a real shit fest. They are 100% responsible for the death of Harry's mom, Princess Diana. Which is why many are saying the pair "used their Diana card" in their ongoing bid for attention and sympathy.

According to TMZ, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office got a call Monday morning around two am. It was security at Meg and Har's place.
Word it 29-year-old Kevin Garcia Valdovinos was held under citizen's arrest by security at the entrance to the property. When cops got there they took him into custody and booked him for misdemeanor stalking. Valdovinos was later released on $2,500 bail.
TMZ also claims "The law under which Valdovinos was arrested indicates whatever he did, he's done before ... which makes sense because he never actually made it on the property. We know he told security something that triggered this arrest, though the sheriff is not saying what that was ... it's now up to prosecutors to decide the next steps."

Johnny Depp has had a rough few years that included court testimony about someone pooping in his bed and details about his terrible drinking problem. But all that was forgotten this week at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes France.
Johnny was there to promote and premiere his film, “Jeanne Du Barry," in which he plays Louis XVI.
According to Vanity Fair, Depp became quite emotional when the film ended and the audience rose to their feet for a 7 minute standing ovation.

Swifties know, Taylor wont stand for people harshing the buzz for her fans at her shows. That was evident this weekend at the Philly show.
While singing "Bad Blood" during the show, Taylor spotted a security guard harassing a group of concert-goers.
Taylor paused mid lyric and yelled down to the guard "She wasn't doing anything… Hey! Stop!” Tons of angles of the incident happening were captured by fans and posted to tiktok.
One angle of the interaction was captured by TikTok user Briana Layfield, who wrote in the caption: “hey @Taylor Swift THANK YOU from all of us on the floor for yelling at that security guard. he was a pain in the ass the entire night and the fact that this happened during #badblood made it even better.”
That video is posted below. But whats more is a girl claiming to be the one Taylor was defending commented saying the guard was taken out and that they got free tickets for the following nights show. But we can't confirm that.
