Anyway... The song, Texas Hold' Em, is a banger. It's classic country. I'm not a country person, but in the 80's I was totally a fan. Dolly Parton, Juice Newton, Kenny Rogers, I loved it!!! This is such retro throw back country.
And the queen of country, Dolly Parton herself, recognized the feat greatness of the song and acknowledge the accomplishment of being the first black woman to top the country charts!
Dolly took to her instagram to say “I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album,” Parton wrote in a statement via Instagram. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.”
That's gotta be a compliment Bey appreciates. Love the album!!

It's no secret that Wendy Williams has been suffering from a number for concerning health issues for some time. But this week we learned she had entered a facility that tests cognitive behaviour. Which essentially means how her brain processes commands for her body, etc.
Now it comes out she has been official diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia. The condition effects cognitive function and tends to result in changes in behavior, speech and disposition. Primary progressive aphasia is a subtype of FTD impacting communication, including speech, writing and the ability to understand language.
The statement explained that Williams' conditions have “presented significant hurdles” in the star's’ life, acknowledging the ongoing speculation about Williams' health.
“Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions,” the release stated. It added that the decision to share this news was difficult, but in doing so, Williams and her team are hoping to raise awareness about aphasia and FTD.
This is just heartbreaking. There will be further information, of course, this weekend when Lifetime presents its special Docu on Wendy called “Where Is Wendy Williams?”coming out Feb. 24, 2024.

Troubled actor Zachery Ty Bryan, who got his fame as the eldest brother on the show "Home Improvement," was arrested this weekend for DUI.
The 42 year old is no stranger to the police. In the last few years he's racked up a bunch of charges for assault and has even spoken on the topic.
"At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something," he later told The Hollywood Reporter of his 2020 arrest. "I could've fought it, but that's more stress and drama. I got two misdemeanors and called it a day."
Zach was arrested in 2020 for assault against his ex-girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, before pleading guilty to misdemeanors for menacing and assault.

This year Representative George Santos was thrown out of the House of Reps for excessive lying about everything from being Jewish to going to Ivy League schools. Now he's suing Jimmy Kimmel for making him a laughing stock all over again.
Kimmel learned that Santos was now making Cameo messages and bought one to air on his show. The video (below via tiktok) got millions of views and now Georgie wants to be paid for the embarassment.
Santos is seeking at least $750,000 in damages. The suit specifically cites the decision to employ the “personal use” license on Cameo, despite the show's intention to broadcast the videos on television.
“Frankly, Kimmel’s fake requests were funny, but what he did was clear violation of copyright law,” Santos’ attorney Robert Fantone said in a statement to the AP.
Kimmel may have given George the idea when he joked about Santos suing him, saying, “I showed some of them on the air on Thursday, and now he’s demanding $20,000 from me to be paid a commercial rate. Could you imagine if I get sued by George Santos for fraud? I mean how good would that be? It would be like a dream come true.”

Another year, another Taylor/Kanye issue to dissect. This time the rumor started, where else, the Super Bowl.
The internet was a buzz this week with a story that claimed Kanye West had bought out the seats in the section directly in front of the club box where Taylor would be watching the Super Bowl.
The story says the plan was to photo bomb all her tv shots and take focus away from her. Then the story goes that Taylor, seeing Kanye and his crew arriving, demanded they be thrown out and they promptly were.
Taylor hasn't acknowledged the story, but now Kanye has addressed it via his rep talking to Forbes magazine.
"This is a completely fabricated rumor. It is not true," they said.
Taylor is currently in Australia with The Era's Tour, but I'm sure she would agree with the statement.

For starters, they announced that the movie itself is projected for July 25th, 2025. So regardless of what you think of the cast, you have some time to get used to the idea lol.
