Actors Joshua Leonard Michael Williams and Rei Hance (formerly known as Heather Donahue) were the three stars of The Blair Witch Project who not only acted, but improvised most of the dialect in the found footage horror film.
At the time the three acted in the movie they had a budget... and I am not kidding about this... of $60,000! That left almost nothing for actor wages. But then the film grossed an insane $248m and the actors never saw dime one of that win fall.
Now they asking for a retro payment for their work in the 1999 film.
The letter, published on Leonard’s Facebook page, called for “retroactive and future residual payments” for the three actors for their work in the 1999 film, “equivalent to the sum that would’ve been allotted through [actors’ union] Sag-Aftra”, and say they did not have “proper union or legal representation when the film was made”.
“Our film has now been rebooted twice, both times were a disappointment,” the open letter reads. “As the insiders who created the Blair Witch … we’re your single greatest, yet thus-far unutilized secret-weapon!”
“I’m so proud of our little punk-rock movie,” Leonard wrote. “But at this point, it’s 25 years of disrespect from the folks who’ve pocketed the lion’s share … of the profits from our work, and that feels both icky and classless.”

KISS has sold the rights to their entire music catalog including publishing and master recordings, name, logo, image and likeness to Swedish company Pophouse Entertainment for $300 million, Fortune reported.
KISS icon Gene Simmons told the business publication that after touring for 50 years, “KISS the touring band is over.”
“What Pophouse will do with our images, our music and our personas is unlike anything anyone has ever seen,” Simmons told Fortune in an interview.
The plan is to make the band into Avatars and tour like the company did with ABBA, but there's no time line on when that will happen.
Fans got a preview of the KISS avatars last year during the band’s final concert of the End of the Road farewell tour at Madison Square Garden when large digital versions of the band members were projected on the video screens and stage during “God Gave Rock and Roll to You II.”

Angie shared on Monday via Instagram that Oliver, was killed by an Instacart delivery man on Saturday.
In a post filled with photos and videos of the German shepherd/beagle mix, Harmon wrote that the driver "got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot [their] dog."
"This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver," she wrote. "Our ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn't being recorded."
An Instacart representative said in a statement, "We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident. We have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform.
