Y'all know I stan for Katy Perry (well, insofar as that I really like her - that's sort of the beginning and end of my stanning), so I was excited to see the artwork for her upcoming album, Prism, which is out next month. She first unveiled it on Good Morning America, apparently, but I was actually grocery shopping while that was happening (hey, I gotta get out while I can) so I missed it. Luckily, she put it on Twitter not long after. Ta-da!
If you missed it on the JUMBOTRON on @GMA, here it is - my #PRISM album cover, shot by the wonderful Ryan McGinley! pic.twitter....
In what has to be some of the most bizarre casting news in recent history, Elizabeth Hurley has apparently been cast as the Queen of England in a new E! drama series (uh, E! makes something besides Real Housewives incarnations?) that is a loose adaptation of Hamlet called The Royals, I guess. This whole thing is bizarre. Let's see what Deadline has to say about it:
British actress Elizabeth Hurley is set for regal duty with a starring role in the hourlong E! pilot The Royals, from Lionsgate TV and ...

You've got to give it to Russell Brand - he's not just a pretty face (or, according to some, he's not a pretty face at all), he also knows his shit and is passionate about politics. That's why, when he turned up at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London this week, he called out the city's mayor, Boris Johnson (who collected the Politician of the Year trophy, despite the fact that no one else could have really won it) as well as the event's sponsor, Hugo Boss. Shit got real. There was a Nazi salu...
I feel like I've been hearing about Daniel Radcliffe's role as Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings for so long that the movie must have come out in like, 2011. Well, I was wrong. It's not even out yet and it only JUST got its first full-length trailer.
In case you missed it, Kill Your Darlings sees young Allen Ginsberg fall in love with Lucien Carr (played by some kid called Dane DeHaan). They have lots of sex, write lots of poetry and then shit gets crazy when someone called David Kammerer gets murdered. Sounds like a good time to me!
Kill Your Darlings hits the US in limited release on October 18, and I feel it'll probably STAY limited. This doesn't appeal to me too much, but then, I don't think I'm meant to be the target audience. I'd still probably watch it if I had some free time. />

Michelle Williams is great and everyone loves her. She picks great roles, is really gorgeous, seems quite down to earth, yada yada. Well, now she's got another great role to look forward to: Sally Bowles in the Broadway revival of Cabaret, which is being put on by the Roundabout Theatre Company.
Hilariously, she's replacing Emma Stone in the role, who had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts. Sally Bowles is the legendary part once held by Liza Minelli, and somehow, I just cannot imagine Emma coming ...
Kelly Osbourne lost a shit ton of weight after appearing on Dancing with the Stars, and good for her. Although it seems her whole identity now revolves around how not fat she is and how fat she used to be - yuck! - she wants everyone to know that she still feels like a "former fat person" (she actually said this) and is, accordingly, launching a plus-sized fashion range for women.
Here's what Kelly told reporters about her new endeavour (via DS):
"I had one of the most exciting meetings ...

It's about goddamn time. Jane Lynch has been brilliant since pretty much forever. She first came onto my radar when I saw her in Christopher Guest's Best In Show, in which she played the lesbian dog trainer who was having an affair with Jennifer Coolidge's character. She was amazing. She also had a great bit part in A Mighty Wind, The 40-Year Old Virgin and tons of others. Still, she didn't really get popular until she became Sue Sylvester on Glee (one of the only redeeming things about that sh...
Miley Cyrus can hardly be looked to as an example of desirable behaviour, by any means, but Miss "I'm So Fucked Up! Tee Hee!" has gone so far as to even brag about her bullshit on Twitter. It's simple: a paparazzo was trying to take her picture, she didn't like it, so she called him a "cunt". Of course that was going to come out in the press anyway (well... maybe?), Miley took her chance to brag about it on Twitter, first:
Just called this paparazzi a CUNT. So before he makes breaking "n...
Last week, it was revealed that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are taking a bit of a break in their marriage, which has a lot of people upset/sad/whatever. Of course, Michael is now saying that everyone is making a big deal out of nothing and that there's actually no issue there, despite his earlier admission that they were going to "take time to evaluate and work on" their marriage.
While promoting Behind the Candelabra in Berlin, here's what he told The AP about the state of affairs at home:

This one almost writes itself, really, I know. Jennifer Lopez is a lot of things - a superstar and diva, a great dancer, a mediocre actress, a lady with a legendary ass... but a great singer is not one of those things. It's okay - we can't be good at everything! Still, it's pretty funny that she's admitted that she was "insecure" about singing, because anyone who has heard Jennifer Lopez sing probably understands why she felt that way. She's not the worst singer, and autotune does her good, but it's not her life's calling.
