Thursday night's episode of The Office paid tribute to Nathan Robinson, a 15-year-old high school student who died on March 14 of "flu-related complications" and was a huge fan of the show.
The episode ended with an "In Memoriam" and the clip above, of Nathan playing the show's theme song on the piano.
Producers of The Office learned about the teen when the Boston Globe ran a story on him after his death.
This is so sweet, and really wonderful of the folks at The Office, but what I want to know is how a 15-year-old boy dies of "flu-related complications."
The Boston Globe piece is here. It says:
Nathan, a 15-year-old freshman at Newton North High School, continued to play the piano, and later the clarinet, every day until just before his death Friday of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, pneumonia, and influenza at Children's Hospital Boston.
Can someone please explain this to me? How can you not be able to treat the flu in an otherwise healthy teenager? This just makes me angry.
Anyway, Nathan seemed like a kickass guy, and I'll keep his family in my prayers. />

Here's the New Kids on the Block announcing their reunion on the Today Show.
This is insane. I cannot believe how excited people are about this. Who are these people? Seriously, guys, let go of the mid-'80s. Just let it go.
The interview is actually kind of amusing, though. When they're asked what fans should expect from the New Kids this time around, Joey McIntyre responds: "The economy, healthcare and job security." Heh.
Part two of the interview is after the jump.
Also: I have no idea if there's any truth to this, but a video for a song called "Click Click Click" is wandering around the Internet, and it's supposedly their new single. I've included that after the jump, too.

Hillary continues to promote her new campaign platform -- "Hillary Clinton: Not Actually An Evil Robot" -- with an appearance on the Tonight Show where she makes yet another funny.
"I was worried I wasn’t going to make it — I was pinned down by sniper fire at the Burbank airport," she says about 30 seconds in.
I actually think Hillary Clinton probably does have a great sense of humor. But comedic timing and delivery isn't really her forte. It's cute that she's trying, though. I think it actually accomplishes the goal she has in mind -- to humanize Hillary Clinton in the minds of the American voters -- but not in the way she intended. Instead of being like, "Oh my gosh, Hillary Clinton is so funny, I had no idea," I'm like, "Oh my gosh, Hillary Clinton is bad at something. How cute is that!" It's like in My Best Friend's Wedding when Cameron Diaz gets up to sing and she's just so damn horrible but the whole thing actually makes you like her more? Hillary Clinton's jokes are like Cameron Diaz's bad singing. />
