What we need is Britney Spears to stay home instead of traipsing all over town. That would solve the problem. We don’t need additional laws…. I’ve got laws coming out my ears to deal with this issue.
What you have is several young women in this town and several young men basically making fools of themselves and tying up not only my resources but the resources of the media that would do better covering legitimate stories instead of a bunch of airheads running around out there….
Quite clearly some of these characters so favored by the paparazzi are clearly in need of services. Not police services, but psychiatric services.
LAPD chief William Bratton, regarding the proposed “Britney’s Law,” which would crack down harder on those pesky paparazzi.
There is a need for a law to stop crazy washed up talentless ex-teen pop stars from driving aimlessly in circles.
i agree! that is the first smart thing i’ve heard about ms. spears in a long, long time. i’m tired of seeing her do the same tired things for attention, day in and day out….it’s truly sad!

I half agree. I think some “stars” make spectacles of themselves and fuel a market for gossip. But I also think the paps take things WAY too far to provide the product to satisfy that market and somehow there should be restrictions. It becomes a vicious cycle.
At a certain point, you have to take responsibility for your actions. What the LAPD are now facing is having to deal with the spectacles that Paris and Britney have a hand in creating. If this law passes then if it can be proven that Britney and Paris (and anyone else) are tipping off the paps, they should be charged and heavily fined.
Britney’s Law SHOULD read;
“Britney and all of her employees may ONLY own/operate home and cellphones which are blocked from calling paparazzi/gossip mags…and shall be ONLY allowed to order food DELIVERED from restaurants”
