Oh, you did too? Good, then I guess I’m not the only one who doesn’t buy her “I’m a nerd, but a hot nerd, tee-hee, but mind yourself, bastards, because I’m a SERIOUS FEMALE ACTRESS who WANTS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY – fart poop, poop fart.” I just … nah. Never mind.
Olivia Munn takes the cover of Shape magazine, where she looks just whatever and talks about her personal life:
On growing up in a variety of places:
“My stepfather was in the Air Force. I was constantly the new girl, which was really hard because people weren’t welcoming me. Walking into a cafeteria was literally like going onto a battlefield. ‘Oh crap, oh crap, where am I going to sit?’ For most of junior year in high school, I had lunch with a 70-year-old librarian!”
On actually having friends who are girls:
“It may surprise you to know that many of my close friends are women. I don’t trust a girl who says she has a hard time being friends with other women. She’s the person who will steal your boyfriend.”
Anyway, I just don’t get her. She’s a toned-down Sarah Silverman with the looks of a prettier, female Rob Schneider. Does it get more awkward than that? Somehow I don’t think so.
I literally cringe when people use the word “literally” incorrectly. Especially in this way. Is she somehow stating that going into the cafeteria in high school was exactly the same as serving in the military in Iraq or Afghanistan? It makes it sound that she doesn’t understand what people go through in a war. At the very least it makes her sound like a highly overdramatic person you can’t take seriously.
Aw, snap!
She’s in, “I Don’t Know How She Does It”.
Which I have free screening passes to see tonight (free is free)
We’ll see if she’s as pointless as she was in “Slammin’ Salmon”
Well, she was right about one thing…I met a woman (crazy mormon bitch) who was proud that she didn’t really have many girlfriends. Then she had a year-long affair with my (crazy, not mormon) husband. Go figure…Not so naive now.
i forget hows she.
I’m a woman with mostly male friends. I’m just not very girly but that doesn’t mean I’m going to steal your man. what an incredibly narrow-minded thing for a person to say.
I agree it’s narrow-minded, but being “a woman with mostly male friends” is a woman was wants to be boys club. One that has internalized all the bullshit indoctrination we subtly receive that men are ‘better’ than women. You also use phrases like “Don’t be such a girl”, don’t you? I understand wanting to belong, but we’ll never ‘belong’ because we’re women, Cyren. Try examining yourself to really see why you don’t have women friends.
she doesnt look that good on that cover. thats just my opinion though
There’s really nothing special about her. I couldn’t pick her out of a crowd. She’s just a normal looking girl. And I’ve never seen her play in anything. So I don’t know how her acting is. But it’s probably as mundane as her looks.
She’s such a liar! I went to high school with her and she was a cheerleader and sat at the popular kid table. Lisa Munn, a nerd in high school you definately were NOT.
Yeah, she doesn’t really deserve her own post. =\
