This year, like always, we had some beautiful girls but only one could take home the title of Top Model…I mean Miss USA. Since Donald Trump has taken over the pageant it has been sex and scandal! Tara Connor’s recovery from drug and alcohol abuse is huge part of the show tonight. Going to rehab I guess is part of the new American Dream.
I am a bit upset because Tara got these awful bangs and seems a bit boring. Maybe all of her charisma came from the coke? I was a big Tara Connor fan because I’m a huge pageant freak.
I love the fact that this year there is an awesome smattering of Dlist hosts, which includes Vanessa Manillo, Kimora Lee Simmons, Jonathan Antin (“Blow Out”), and Jerry Springer. The bathing suit competition is full of girls with shockingly amazing bodies. I am starting to understand why this competition is way more popular than Miss America. The evening gowns are the usual tacky pageant fare with lots of sparkles. Really the best part of the evening gown competition is when Rhode Island almost fell down the stairs. That would have been awesome.
This year they are big on the behind the scenes video stuff. It isn’t the normal “lets watch them help kids” stuff…it is more bloopers of the girls goofing around behind the scenes and talking smack about the other girls. One girl when talking about her roommate makes the international sign for bulimia. Classy girls…classy.
I wish that I could come up with the questions that they have to ask these girls. Some of them get amazing questions like, “what was it like helping young women in the Sudan” while others get “so you really like puppies.” Some of these girls aren’t very good at speaking…like putting together words in a sentence that makes any sense.
Oh, now they are announcing the prizes. A Mikimoto Pearl Crown, Trump Model Management Contact, Apartment in New York, personal appearance wardrobe, swimsuits, Nina shoes, flat irons, YMI jeans, New York Film Academy Scholarship, and memories to last a lifetime!!! The free trip to rehab isn’t listed in the prizes but as we know it is part of the package.
Tara Connor does her last walk and mentions the fact that Donald Trump “saved her life.” I’m glad she got rid of the bangs for her last walk.
Now the big announcement! It is between Rhode and Tennessee.

I am so glad that Trump chose someone based on both personality and looks. When he took over, he said that it was a beauty pageant and that beauty was all that mattered in the contest. Trump learned a very valuable lesson and got to eat his words when Tara, the most beautiful girl in last year’s pageant, screwed up. The pageant was rigged and they snubbed the person with the best answer. They gyped that girl and gave the crown to Tara who was the prettiest.
This year, they gave the crown to someone who deserved it.

But again, we are seeing The Apprentice being rigged for the most beautiful applicant that the show will ever see. This does not mean that Stephanie is not qualified. It was just really obvious that Trump never attacked her at any boardroom meetings.
