Kristen Stewart Poses for W Magazine, Completely Kills It

You know, I really love this interview. And as a matter of fact, I really love this girl. Seriously. I know some of you have some major problems with her because she’s “ugh, Bella Swan from Twilight,” but whatever. You like what you like, am I right? Also, the photos. I love these photos. She looks like a 60s … I don’t know, like princess or something. She looks amazing, and I really hope her career continues to take off after all of the Stephenie Meyer stuff fades away, because this is one girl that just intrigues the crap out of me. But anyway –

Kristen on her tomboy qualities:

I have brothers, and that so-called boyish quality was something that I was deathly self-conscious about when I was younger. I was, like, No, I’m a girl. Actually, I’m still embarrassed to say that.

On whether or not she had any interest in vampires before “Twilight”:

I f*cking love me a vampire [Laughs]. I was 17 when I read Twilight, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t. And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that. Vampires are a little dangerous—and we girls like to test ourselves.

On the much-talked-about “Breaking Dawn” wedding scene:

Check out the rest of the interview and the other photos in the gallery after the jump

Awesome. This was my first wedding. It was insane. And odd. The wedding dress experience was a huge deal. I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it’s done. BFD dress. Huge deal.

On whether or not she enjoys watching herself in action:

It’s not like I sit around watching my movies again and again, but I’ve never quite believed actors when they say they don’t watch themselves. I hear them going around the block to make excuses for why they don’t watch their work. It’s bullshit. Sorry, guys—I know you watch your stuff.

On “giving up” Bella Swan:

I’d been anticipating that end-of-Bella moment. I was going, Oh, my God—I wonder how I’m going to feel. And the last scene of the shoot was at the wedding. Every single character was there on set. At the end of that day, I was kind of whacked. And so I never really had that moment then. Instead, it happened later. We needed to film one more sort of honeymoon scene and we went to the Virgin Islands. After that scene, my true final scene, I felt like I could shoot up into the night sky and every pore of my body would shoot light. I felt lighter than I’ve ever felt in my life.

On her true nature:

… You want so badly for people to see what you do—you’re proud of it—and I like the effect that movies have on people. But the attention can also make me uncomfortable. In certain situations, people say to me, “C’mon, what’s wrong with you?” I apologize. I love what I’m doing, but I’m a little uncomfortable.

  • I’m 54 and she’s my favorite actress… She’s cross-generationally talented… She speaks to sensitive, angst ridden types from all walks of life….

    • You totally summed up my feelings – thank you. She is AMAZING.
‘Hope I live long enough to see her totally recognized for her great acting skills, depth and honesty. ‘Also hope she and Rob are for real and make each other happy for the next 50 years.

    • Agreed. She’s pretty there’s no doubt about that, but her looks in these shoots have been photoshopped to the max.

    • I can see that too. Like a pre – meth lindsay lohan when she still looked young and healthy.
But i also see a bit of Priscilla presley .

  • I love KS. She totally nailed this shoot and to me she looks like she could’ve been living it up with Liz Taylor and breaking hearts all the way.

  • It’s weird to say she looks beautiful here because it barely looks like her, but she is a very pretty girl.

Shame that she’s a horrible actress.

  • Kristen my fav actress of all time. Wonderfully talented actress that is already naturally beautiful. I usually don’t like the photo shoots with a lot of makeup, but thus is an exception.

  • I recently saw her in Welcome To The Rileys and was impressed by her acting………..I feel the Twilight films have not had range enough for her. I hope we see more of her

    • Yes – Welcome to the Riley’s displayed more of her range, I do agree. Did you watch her in “Speak”? She was so young and already so good!

    • She was hilariously awkward in Welcome to the Rileys. I still don’t know whether I think it was a good thing or a bad thing…

    • Yeah, ‘Speak’! She was basically the most precocious child actor ever. See also: ‘Panic Room’; ‘Safety of Objects.’

      I’m rooting for her.

  • if anyone has ever seen the uk verison of the television series called skins that has its own usa remake that air’d on mtv…she looks a lot like effy on the cover shot.

  • Guys…we ALL know what kristen Stewart looks like. And it’s not this. Her facial structure didn’t just CHANGE overnight. Her face has been SEVERELY photoshopped. It doesn’t even look like her. please.

and let’s not forget…she is a terrible actress. It’s not just Twilight.

  • Photoshop and makeup work wonders. Normally she has a drowned rat look or just plain awkward.

She’s a pretty girl in general. But over the top makeup isn’t a bad thing.

It’s a photo shoot not a real-life-documentary. So yeah it’s a fantasy approach as she looks somewhat different but again it’s a glamor shot and nothing more.
