This isn’t a conventional Blind Item at all—in fact, it’s an anonymously-written email, published by an advice columnist. Who could the email be referencing, though?
In the letter, a down-on-her-luck gal claims that back in high school she went steady with a now-successful “recording artist”:
Things were going well between us until his career picked up toward the end of our senior year. He transformed from a level-headed, compassionate guy into someone shallow and self-absorbed. When he broke off our relationship, his words were, “I can’t see you fitting into this kind of lifestyle and the crowd I’m now going to be rolling with.” I was pregnant at the time (I never told him) but ended up miscarrying.
So that happened, and they never spoke again. She never went to college, which she regrets, and she blames both the guy and her own broken heart. Now, years later, the singer’s representatives have contacted the woman because OH MY GOD SHE HAS NUDIE PICS OF HIM. They’re begging her to get rid of the photos. And the photos are still on the old computer in her mother’s basement!
So, she concludes her letter to the advice columnist, should she sell naked photographs of her famous ex to the tabloids?
Signed, “A Woman Scorned.”
First of all, I’m gonna guess the letter’s author is about 30. Second, ugh, let it go! If we exacted vengeance on every stuck-up former-18-year old, there wouldn’t be any adults left, you know? And while it’s admirable that the letter-writer has waited so long to be opportunistic, couldn’t she just, I don’t know, delete the pics instead?
I don’t want to name names, but here’s my guess anyway. It sounds like our “successful recording artist”: was preternaturally talented; was suddenly plucked from obscurity when he was 17ish; has a squeaky-clean veneer; is probably popular with my mom? And his career arc has “pop opera star” written all over it, because why else would he be terrified of those photos? Plus, I can completely understand not wanting to take your trashy high school girlfriend to, say, the 1999 Grammys—at least the “successful recording artist” was honest about why he dumped her. Right?
But I could be totally off. Maybe this email is about Usher instead.
Other guesses so far include Justin Timberlake and Adam Levine. Hmm.
My questions for you:
– Who do you think it is?
– Can you guess who I think it is? (I’m totally right, right?)
– When it comes to resenting your ex, how long is too long?
– If you were angry at an ex, would you sell naked pictures of him to a tabloid? Would you really be that person?
The only person that keeps popping into my head is Josh Groban, but that’s probably WAY off..
*shifty eyes, coughing*
:D
:D
III”’!ex dem don,t play dis is why ya have to say ya prayersssssssssssss1
1. I don’t give a flying crap who it is…really?? Who cares!
2. You could be right, or wrong…probably right tho
3. Depends how mature you are. I know ppl in their late 40’s and 50’s that still bitch about certain ‘loves’. Personally, I do not dwell in the past. If you do, it’s your own fault you’re miserable!
4. No, I wouldn’t. I totally respect my ex-lovers shared personal moments. This woman would find her 15mins of fame, but it would cost her – she will be a judas – where the star will gain more attention and free press, ugh.
If this were true, I feel for the girl but I agree with you – he was honest. Most up and coming stars usually dump their ‘normal’ girlfriends by tabloid. The gf will see them with arm candy on the front page. So, in a way, she’s lucky he just said it like it was for him. The fact she was preggers and didn’t tell him, well – she decided to hide that so how can he be responsible? It could be a lie? It’s sad, pathetic and really quite unshocking. How many ‘stars’ dumped the lame bf/gf to pursue celebrity? It’s written in the handbook, too bad she couldn’t just be happy for him?
Drake? Maybe “senior year” was at Degrassi High
sound like josh groban for this but i always thought he was gay
Sorry people, no way this is Josh Groban. Josh was NOT famous in high school. Yes, he was noticed by David Foster, who gave him some lucky charity gigs, but Josh didn’t even release his first CD until over 2 years AFTER he graduated high school, and even then he had NO CLUE that it would be a huge seller and that fame would come for him. Josh graduated high school in May, 1999. He appeared in an episode of Ally McBeal in May, 2001, and THAT is when he started to get noticed by the general public. His debut CD was released in Nov, 2001, when he was 20 years old… he was still relatively unknown at that time…his fame began to skyrocket in 2002…
And Josh remains a kind, humble guy to this day!
Whoever he is hes naked and will surface eventually, ill be sure to post it everywhere (thats if i even care lol)

I say sell the pictures and use the money to do something for herself – travel, a house, go to college. If it was a stupid high school thing, then he can explain it away. And she can finally (way past due) put it behind her. Or she can use the money to get counseling for that.
My guess would be a pop artist. A rap/hip-hop artist wouldn’t care as much, country artists are very down to earth, a rock artist wouldn’t care so much either.
My guess would be John Mayer, though I’m not sure how old he was when he became famous or got signed.
I don’t think it was Justin Timberlake, this is based off the Punk’d episode. He’s a mommas boy and cried over his dogs being taken away. Justin was also on TV when he was like 12 for Mickey Mouse Club.
