I could have told you this was going to happen! I knew just by watching him sing songs on my TV in a creepy James Taylor voice that something was NOT RIGHT about American Idol castoff Paul McDonald. You can just tell by looking at him that he gets all crazy and weird after one drink of brown liquor and that he’s kind of a shiesty dude.
I knew when I heard (through an announcement he made) that he was dating actress Nikki Reed that something was going to start going around about him using her soon. Then BAM! A story shows up about it in the Enquirer.
“Paul is pressuring Nikki to introduce him to her agents, studio executives and even her ‘Twilight’ co-stars,” said a source, according to the report.
“His own friends are predicting he’ll leave Nikki as soon as he gets his big post ‘Idol’ break, the Enquirer reported.
To be fair, I don’t think I’m Columbo for figuring this out. Everyone knows that an ex-American Idol star fresh off the show is not who you want to be dating if you’re a famous actress with bomb-ass connections.
Nikki, protect your name and Twilight money from this vampire, you know what I mean, girl?
This is like the third time I’ve read this so I HAVE to comment. Silly Enquirer story. Paul was a couple of years ahead of me in high school, and I know his family pretty well. Unless he’s had a full personality transplant, I can’t see him all, I must date this celebrity and start my career! LOL! He’s a really nice guy, and just not the user type. I saw him brush off super gorgeous girls cuz if he ain’t into it, he ain’t into it. Also, he is very proud. He doesn’t take help from people.
Some friends of mine just saw them both at a wedding recently, and they both said that they seemed pretty laid back and into each other. He introduced her to his family. Seemed to be serious.
Meh, I don’t get a weird vibe from him but what do I know. Seems like a likable guy.
first off, paul didn’t “make an announcement” that he and nikki were dating. someone from the twilight set told the tabloids that nikki was calling paul her “boyfriend” just days before he was eliminated from idol, which meant that he was asked in a press conference call about her and in every following interview. and of course he said that they were dating…was he supposed to deny it? he was asked, and he told the truth, which was then reported in every article about his elimination. and now that’s morphed into paul somehow doing something bad by talking about nikki.
secondly, paul is not hollywood to be an actor. he’s a singer-songwriter. he’s an artist. he’s not in l.a. to play any games. he didn’t even know who nikki was when they met. he hadn’t even seen any twilight movies…and given that he’s a single, 26-year-old straight dude who has been touring with his band for a few years, you wouldn’t expect him to be a twilight fan.
finally, how incredibly insulting to nikki to suggest that a guy is with her just to use her for contacts. guys are going to fall for her because she’s gorgeous, smart, sweet and talented…not to be introduced to her famous friend or her agent. and if you know anything about nikki’s career, you should know that she has proven through writing screenplays that she’s incredibly smart. it really doesn’t give her any credit at all to suggest that she’s just a helpless victim being used by some guy.
and like the poster already said, nikki has been to nashville to meet paul’s bandmates, and been to alabama to spend time with his family after having already meant them in l.a. if paul was just out to use her, he wouldn’t be bringing her home to meet his family and friends.
they’re in a new, real relationship….it must really suck to have this vile b.s. thrown at them.
to the author “molls,” you’re beyond pathetic to be spreading these lies. put down the enquirer and pick a book. try to find one about becoming a decent human being.
