Sean Penn is somewhat of a hero today. The actor and his daughter Dylan are in Haiti right now and yesterday, after hearing that there was a woman and her child trapped inside of a collapsed building, Sean and Dylan drove over an hour and a half to save them. After pulling them from the rubble, they brought the them back to the University of Miami hospital camp in Port-au-Prince.
Penn and his daughter stayed with the mother and son all night until they were sure that the two were going to be OK. Penn then offered up his temporary Haitian home to them and said they could stay for as long as it took them to find a safe place to live. Wow.
I hope this isn’t like his “rescues” after Katrina.
At least he didn’t seem to bring a photo crew with him this time.
I love this. A wonderful thing to do. Plus I’m getting a kick out of how distinguished he looks in this photo. He looks like he should be holding a pipe and a glass of brandy.
I can’t stand this guy. For someone who is as fortunate as he is, he certainly seems to be ungrateful and pissed off all the time. However I gotta admit that he did good.
