Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this? Like, we never, ever get a really good look at Lady Gaga’s face. There is always something covering it. We can stare into her inner thighs day after day like Michelangelo painted cherubs over her stray pubic hairs, but we can’t ever just see her face. I know I sound like her doddering grandmother right now, but I really wish that, just once, she could show up and try to be pretty for once.
Here’s Gaga reppin’ at some random event involving Best Buy that clearly necessitated sunglasses.
She always has some crazy shit on because she is not pretty- I feel like she is trying to distract away from her face- which makes it stand out even more. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan, I think she’s incredibly talented but she does not have the prettiest face. I saw her live before she got big and it was when she was all about the leotards and not so much the other crazy shit and she sounded amazing!
She just did a video with Beyonce where they are both dressed in white and Gaga is full frontal face in that one.

She does look a lot like Amy Winehouse, so I can see why she wanted to go platinum to end the mistaken identity issue.
People can’t help it if they aren’t pretty, which is in the eye of the beholder anyway. And her style is a total hoot. I can relate to her remarks about how she felt like a misfit and an outsider in high school and how now she’s just letting her freak-flag fly.
More power to her – it’s amazing when a character like her just pops onto the global scene, seemingly from nowhere. I can see her at 80 years old doing exactly the same thing. (I just feel sorry in advance for her kids, if she has any.)
i’ve seen pics of her face w/o makeup i even put those pics on twitter, the thing is, she really looks like a man thats why she try 2 cover her face i think, u know w the pennis scandal n w a dude face… U can figure it out why so much make up on like a Drag Queen…
Well she claims she’s 23. She’s clearly a hell of a lot older so I presume the cover-up is a way of hiding her age.

Same thing with Taylor Swift (who is getting on my nerves but I think it’s the press’ fault, not hers, because she’s EVERYWHERE) they always dress her in sparkly disco-dresses to make her look more “star-like.” She’s really just very plain-looking. Did you catch her on Law and Order or CSI or whatever, I didn’t even recognize her!!
People have to work with what they’ve go or else they go to far with the plastic surgery and become freaks, like Priscilla Presley or dare I say it, Michael Jackson.
Taylor has very deep-set eyes, like Rene Zellweger, Nicole Kidman, Helen Hunt and Taylor Lautner. I think she does very well with her appearance and her clothing – she looks pretty and elegant.
And it’s often the sign of a good actress if they are unrecognizable in their role. Isn’t that the whole point of acting, to transform yourself into a believable someone else?
If I had that kind of face, baby I’d distract away from it too.
That’s why she does so many ridiculous attention-whore things.

She had a nose job a couple of years back so you’d think she would be happier with her features now but it seems not. I was wondering when someone else would pick up on this. She always has a huge headpiece which drapes down over her face or has sunglasses on. I think she’s still self-conscious of the schnozz…
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe she needs to have another go at that schnozz, cos even though it’s smaller now, it still looks like a cheese wedge.

She’s still working to make you not notice her nose. Girl knows her angles in photos usually. Her promo “high fashion” poses always minimize the nose.
And it’s smaller than the one she was born with. That thing probably gave her a complex.
I think she’s trying to bring couture into the world of every day clothing…. Plus if you’re in costume all the time as a “famous” person it kind f protects you from criticism of the real you. Xtina Ag. pretty much admitted that’s why she goes around in that bright lipstick when she’s being singer/superstar. It’s like some weird psychological shield.
I think she performed on Jay Leno last night wearing that outfit. After her performance she did a short interview without the glasses. She was funny, at least she has a great personality! :)

23 MY ASS. Katie Perry too – her “age” in the press is total bullshit. i was in a band with a dude who pushed us so hard to make it big & he insisted i remain “21” when i was actually 28. i guess the big fat record execs don’t think you’re marketable the closer you get to 30? sad.

I don’t think she’s pretty by any means in the classic sense, but she’s FIERCE! I believe you gotta work whatcha got and she does that. Her body is fantastic, she can sing and perform like nobodies biz. I’m not even a fan of all herwork nor do I own her CDs, but I can appreciate her place in the musical universe. :-)

You see some pretty good shots of her face in the Bad Romance video, along with more natural makeup. Honestly, she looked a bit like a horse. Not very attractive without the signature red lips and sunglasses IMHO.

MSN Wonderwall has footage of her performing in 2005 as a student at NYU, man she’s got some pipes! she looked normal and nice (big nose and all). I guess u gotta have a gimmick to sell albums and this is hers and it works for her.
I also noticed that, especially when I started to like her and saw her videos. In “Love game” you never see her face fully or if you do, it’s at some angle. Makes me think of the “cam girl head tilt” of the early decade. :P
i hate that she does this. She’s a pretty girl, come on. She’s odd looking but so are a lot of people. I do think she has some confidence issues. But she shouldn’t the girl is fantastic, and bravo to bring preformance art back. It makes me not feel so bad for missing it the first time around when Madonna mastered it. Love the schnoze, love the bag, love it all.

I think she looks okay. She can do whatever the hell she wants 2 her face. Its hers style. That’s like asking why does Beyonce wear weaves, why did Kim Kard dye her hair, why did Heidi Montag change her whole body with plastic surgery. Because they wanted 2 and if gaga wants to own her look she can. People have a certain style and no celeb is all natural so they do things to get our attention.
