Scarlett Johansson made a splash earlier this year as the spokesperson for Dolce & Gabbana’s line of cosmetics, The Makeup, and now she is doing the same for their new fragrance, Rose The One.  Although the sultry actress seems to be rocking hair inspired by Bette Midler in Beaches, she looks good and enjoys working with D&G because they “capture all of a woman’s graces, our quiet moments. That to me, is what makes this campaign so special, and it feel wonderful to have been a part of the collaboration.”

I never know how much I can trust an actor when they say talk about how excited they are to shill a new product as I’m pretty sure it’s their pocketbook that feels the most pumped, but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because D&G is pretty classic.

Do you think Scarlett looks good or do you wish she’d just stick to acting?

  • I don’t know about the rest of you, but Scarlett makes me feel the same way I imagine Wendie feels about Mischa. I literally wanna throw things at the screen when she’s on it. I don’t have any rational reason why either.

    • i totally concur. she’s just so…obnoxious. i don’t think she’s THAT good-looking and I don’t have much respect for her acting or singing talent.

  • She’d really just stick to acting if you ask me, i don’t think she’s pretty or beautiful or whatever else u wane call it. Her whole facial structure is wrong!

    • her whole facial structure is wrong? i have to assume, of course, that you’re comparing her to yourself?
seriously, she may be annoying, but she is anything but ugly!

  • Pretentious acting non-talent., only real life conversation with her would be more boring and tedious.
The notes include blackcurrant, pink grapefruit, mandarin, lily of the valley, rose, litchi, peony, Madonna lily, ambrette seed, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.

  • stick to acting…yeah right, I think she should stick to modeling,…that way she won’t embarrass herself so often

  • I think she looks stunning in this ad. Her face is quirky but cute and her body is always bangin’, I definitely have a soft spot for her.

    • Donkey Punch, where are you?? Ok then, I’ll say it. Even though I don’t have the required equipment.
I have a hard spot for her.

  • How do expert makeup, hair and lighting professionals make a naturally smart and beautiful woman look stupid and less attractive than she really is?

Do they have the gift of reverse alchemy? Turning a beauty into a beast? Not that she looks that bad, but I’ve seen lots of better pictures of her.

I don’t find her obnoxious at all, but this picture definitely has something dorky about it. I don’t hold her responsible though – she didn’t do her own make up or pick this shot for publication – she’s just smart enough to rake in the dough.

  • i think its the eyes that are all wrong. she has a stupid expression. i wish she’d look into the camera or did something else that let her capture the light in her eyes but still not look completely vacant

  • anyone else think she resembles nicole kidman in this shot? (and, no, that’s not a good thing. i think kidman looks weird and vapid most of the time.)

  • I loved her as a young actress in films such as The Horse Whisperer and her mesmerising effort in Lost in Translation. Since then, however, she’s lost in banality. She’s shone to bright too soon and lost her lustre. She needs to get back into some uglier, grittier roles. She’s more than just a pretty face and is selling herself short.

  • I think Scarlett is always best when she’s not talking.

Is it just me, or is someone looking a little dead behind the eyes?

  • She is one of the most beautiful ladies on the planet. She is not a little stick figure either. She is a sexy, curvaceous woman who has some spectacular performances to her credit. She is also on my list!
