Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had a huge opening — huge. Over five days, it pulled in $387.3M worldwide and $201M domestically. It has now clinched second place of best movie five-day gross tally, only eclipsed by Dark Knight.
Over the weekend, Transformers pulled in $112M with The Proposal and The Hangover rounding out the top three movies earning $18M and $17M, respectively.
The only other movie that opened this weekend, and how unfortunate to have to open up against any testosterone flick like Transformers, was the ever-depressing My Sister’s Keeper which earned $12M.
Dammit. This is just going to encourage Michael Bay to keep making movies.
Cant lie, I did. I saw Transformers (boyfriends choice, not mine) and stupid Fox was in it.. Oh when will it end?
Not seen it… I am waiting for Harry Potter and Bruno!!
Haven’t been to a movie in a theater since Beowulf in 2007,
Does Beet ever write on her own blog anymore, or does she just let y’all do her job?
She’s taking a well-deserved break.
i saw transformers and my sisters keeper this weekend. they were both really good, but jesus i have never cried so much in a movie like i did with my sisters keeper. i mean good movie and i knew i was gonna cry, but jeez louise.
I never worry about seeing a movie when it first comes out or on DVD or TV or….ever.
But I cant wait to miss Bruno!!!
