This year so far been all about women dominating the charts. Britney, Taylor and now Lady Gaga, who became the first artist in nearly ten years to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their first two chart entries, as “Poker Face” took the top spot this week. (“Just Dance” hit the top of the charts in January.)
The last performer to launch with a pair of Hot 100 chart-toppers was Christina Aguilera, who reigned with “Genie in a Bottle” (1999) and “What a Girl Wants” (2000). Among women, Lady GaGa is only the fourth female artist in the last 25 years to open with a pair of No. 1s, joining Aguilera, Mariah Carey (1990) and Tiffany (1987).
I mean, Christina and Mariah are certainly big artists, but this chick just reached Tiffany levels of fame. Malls of America, look out!

theres only one madonna. and you can’t possibly be able to tell if she even compares. i liked her in her early days but what shes known for is how long shes stayed in the industry. lady gagas been on the scene for a year. i think her style is quite good? its refreshing but her voice is cliche and mediocre.. already heard similar ones a million times, and the background music is wayyy too tryhard. shes a good performer i suppose. we should stop worshiping singers..

what about Madonna, she isn’t exactly a looker ? the point of the theatrics and crazy outfits is to be edgy and memorable. if she can keep re-inventing herself and shocking the public she can have a long career. David bowie (aka. ziggy stardust) and madonna did the same thing, and they both have alter egos for the stage. Gaga is just following in their footsteps. You don’t have to like her or think she has much talent, but you have to admit she’s pretty smart as far as career building goes. she knows how to market herself, and get people talking about her. No gossip is bad gossip in entertainment.

Is it just me or am I the only one who has no clue what she looks like? Even after watching her videos its like there is not a real person there just a wig or wigs and some costumes
I dig her, her attitude, her music, her talent; she’s got an “it” factor you can’t deny, guess that’s why some hate….
I think shes a prime example of the laughing stock of american talent to be honest, thats if you can call her music talent.
She does however play a very good piano in that respects but the songs are like wtf going with that style of play on the accoustic stuff people have put on youtube, but all that hand clickings very cheesey!
Shes more like trance pop which is very repetitive and annoying, used to like Trance music but then soon developed a hate for it as its soooo annoying, try something different, all her songs are very repetitive when you listen to them.
