Bless her heart… she wore a equally bad wig in Failure to Launch… which makes no sense since she has her own long hair. I always find it distracting to see anyone in a bad wig. I keep thinking… “could they not afford to buy a decent wig?”
It is not so much that she is aging badly, is that she starved herself down to nothing. So she obviously decided it was better to be 90 pounds than to keep a little fat in her face to prevent wrinkles.
And I also hated the clothes SJP wore in SATC tv show. She looked cute the first year… after that she looked like an idiot. Normally with a bad hair cut. Charlotte and Samantha (the characters) always had the best clothes and better hair.
That is really when SJP looks took a turn to the worse was when Patricia Fields was talking her into god awful clothes and haircuts… telling SJP that it was all cutting edge fashion.
I wouldn’t say that she has starved herself. You know, some people in the world are actually naturally very, very thin. She has ALWAYS been this thin, from childhood throughout her teen years and all of her adult years. You’re just perpetuating a dangerous myth that if someone is skinny, they must be anorexic.

It is my bias opinion that SJP dropped the weight between the first season of SATC… to the last season.
Her face alone shows it.

SJP is barely into her 40’s and she looks ten years older. And smoking is not helping her out either. (Which she has freely admitted to being a smoker.)
SJP used to be such a pretty girl… who had always been petite with a healthy looking glow. She is no longer that girl. Which was point in the first post.
