Celeb Moms Gather To Save Environment

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Ben Affleck and others gathered at a private residence to support EcoMom.  EcoMom focuses on things we can do every day to conserve, reuse and recycle.  Which poses a couple of questions:  1)  How many people showed up at this party driving big SUVs?  2)  How much electricity do you think is consumed at a huge mansion used to host “save our resource” themed parties?  3)  Why were there paper napkins on the tables in the background shots?  For some unknown reason, WireImage pulled these pics down almost immediately; you’ll have to take my word on the disposable paper goods.

Oh, and if you’re one of those people that enjoys stalking preggo bellies, there are a couple of pics of Nicole Richie in the gallery that should satisfy.

  • What is worse apparently is North America’s addiction to soft toilet paper. The vast majority of t.p. isn’t recycled. It is from virgin wood.

Other parts of the world use water to clean the backside and if you think about it our system is grossly inefficient and wasteful. All we end up doing is smearing the waste and hope that our underwear takes care of the rest.

    • Actually, using water is pretty wasteful too, and I’m willing to bet there are people in plenty parts of the world who aren’t about to pour what little water they have down their backsides.

On the other hand I hear corn cobs work good.

  • Nicole Richie has an EXCELLENT plastic surgeon.
    lookit that face!
doesn’t even look like the same broad who was on “The Simple Life”…

    • Plastic surgeon? No No No, she’s not even 30 yet, and there are no signs of surgery, besides an excellent plastic surgeon would imply that she looks like she hasn’t had any work done, and if she had it done you would not be able to tell, she has not had plastic surgery, compare other pictures were she does not look too skinny and you’ll see.

  • Good points, Wendie. I totally agree. I am not a fan of people that claim they are being eco-friendly but still buy & throw away a ton of stuff and basically live a wasteful lifestyle. So hypocritical.

  • Actually ah, we can’t find a way to recycle electricity stupid, and paper napkins can be recycled so that’s a dumb point, how many celebs, showed up in big S.U.V.’s ? don’t ask that question unless you know the answer, instead of implying that everybody is a hypocrite.
