Hilary Duff has been cast in the remake of Bonnie and Clyde. Faye Dunaway played Bonnie in the original version way back in 1967. Mommie Dearest is my all-time favorite movie. Ever. It appears that playing this role wasn’t such a stretch for her after all. What a bitch, huh? And no, despite what my kids may say, I didn’t use the screenplay as my blueprint for parenting. Well, not extensively.
Bonnie and Clyde is a classic. Hillary Duff is a flash in the pan. I don’t know why someone felt they needed to remake this movie, you don’t mess with perfection. But if they want to make a disney channel rip-off version, they deserve to be ridiculed.

From a career that consisted of weird Disney movies about following your dreams and hooking your single mom up with Chris Noth and singing about your ex-boyfriend in the least offensive way possible because you’re mad that he screwed Nicole Ritchie and they had a baby, but you can’t be too mad what with your image and all.

a) You don’t appreciate Faye Dunaway (She was an Oscar nominee for Bonnie and Clyde, as well as for Chinatown, and she won an Oscar for Network).
B) How great the 1967 Bonnie and Clyde movie is (nominated for an Oscar in just about every major category).
C) Perhaps you think Hilary Duff is currently some heavy hitter of modern cinema. Or that she’s somehow deserving of this role.

I agree that we can’t compare Duff with Dunaway but we should at least give Hilary a chance to see what she can do with good roles and Dunaway as an icon and legend of the screen should have shown a little more class with her comment.

Hilary Duff is a shitty actress who plays the exact same role in every thing she participates in. She’s always the awkward, but relatively attractive teen who is the school misfit, who happens to discover “who she really is” through several chance incidents, while falling down a lot. She is complete crap, and god willing, this remake will be the end of her career.
Faye Dunaway is an acclaimed actress that has been in some of the best films that have been made in the last 40 years, and you’re not giving credit where its due. When Beatty and Dunaway made the original “Bonnie and Clyde” they literally had everyone convinced that they were balls deep, all out crazy, because they’re portrayal of the characters on screen was just that convincing. You are incredibly stupid if you even think for one second that Hilary Duff and whatever washed up actor they choose to fill Beatty’s shoes will ever, EVER be able to touch the performances they gave.
