The city is completely shut down! No one wants to drive in this weather!!!

i loved snow in seattle because the whole city freaks out and shuts down (unless you are caught downtown and can’t get a bus home). so fun…
O.k., for those of you who have never been to Seattle when it snows, let me clear this up. A snow day in Seattle, is a day when at least one half to an inch of snow has fallen and then everything collapses. Now I know they got more than that today, but not much more.
In Spokane, I measured the snow in my backyard that has fallen since yesterday morning at 8 a.m.. It measures 25 inches. Yes, 25 inches!
Let’s put things in perspective, Seattlites!
Just wondering if you mean Spokane Washington…because i spoke to my friend who lives there and she didnt mention anything about any 25 inches of snow.
So i checked the weather and it says Spokane has gotten 1.23 inches of snow in the last 7 days. Also the average snow fall there for the entire winter is under 10 inches.
So i have concluded that most likely you are talking about a different Spokane, or you were seriously fibbing.
OMG…I AM talking about Spokane, WA and you should check out one of our tv station sites (krem.com or kxly.com) to see if I’m “fibbing” or not. Starting the morning of December 17th it started snowing and it did NOT stop until the late afternoon of December 18th. In that time we set a new record of snowfall within 24 hours (namely 19.4 inches) and in the 36 hour period of snow some places got up to 30 inches. My backyard measured 26 inches this morning. I just got in from shoveling snow for more than 4 hours in my driveway with my 16 year old son. If I am just hallucinating, then I must be on some good shit!
p.s. our average snowfall is somewhere in the 50 some inches a year. Last year we broke a record and had a total snowfall of 92 inches.
Or read this article from the Spokane paper: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2008/dec/18/region-paralyzed/
“I once walked in on my grandparents making love and I didn’t leave right away!!!!” That line will always crack me up because I think it’s the wrongest thing I’ve ever heard.
But Tracy Jordan gets some great lines. “I believe vampires are the greatest golfers but their curse is they can’t prove it.”
My city is getting tons of snow over the next few days and we’re in the midst of a transit strike. It’s fucking awesome.
I am totally sold on 30 Rock! I never got around to watching it but will now. That Designing Women reference was amazing!
i love john krasinski. and really envy you for having met him.
also, is it odd that i kind of identify with liz lemon? …probably shouldn’t admit to that one!
lmao that’s hillarious!!! i’m definately watching this show from now on.
