Since Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy, were found in their New Mexico home back in February we’re learn a lot about the hermit like life the pair were living. The two were reportedly dead for over a week before being found.
The New Mexico Department of Public Health said there were dead rodents, droppings and nests across eight buildings on the couple’s $4 million New Mexico property, according to a report obtained by TMZ.
Arakawa’s cause of death was linked to rodents.
Autopsy results revealed Besty died from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), which spreads from the infected urine, droppings and saliva of rodents.
Arakawa and Hackman were seemingly aware of the infestation since traps had been set up around the property.
The whole thing is so sad. Check on family please!
