So everyone knows that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are ending their 2 year marriage and haven’t been seen together since before the divorce was announced. But that doesn’t mean mutual friends suddenly break up as well.
Matt Damon, lifelong bff of Ben, was seen this weekend holding hands with Jenny while they sat and chatted at the Toronto International Film Festival.
More specifically, the after party for “Unstoppable.” The movie Jen stars in and Matt and Ben’s production company produced.
A source at the party said “Jen and Matt began talking and had a long, deep conversation,” adding that the two friends laughed and spoke more seriously, and for several minutes, they clasped hands as they spoke.
But that shouldn’t come as so much of a surprise. The two have known each other since the early aughts when Ben and Jen first dated. And both are professionals in a business where pretending to like people is a literal occupation. Though I suspect the two are more than just tolerating one another. I bet there’s still a friendship there.
