It’s been 18 years since Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway played their iconic roles of Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada. And now comes word of a follow up on the pair.
Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote the original screen play, is back in the saddle to conjure up the sequel to the film, which grossed over $326 million worldwide,
Who from the original cast will return is not yet clear. (It should be noted that in an interview with E! News just a few months back, Hathaway expressed skepticism that “a continuation of that story” was “ever gonna happen.”) The original film’s director, David Frankel, is in talks to return, we’re told — and original producer Wendy Finerman will be back, as well.
This sounds like something people will be excited about and then no one goes to see it. Stay tuned…
