Owen Wilson is ready to get back to his comedy roots. The actor is starring in a new film about a painter that seems really familiar to Gen Xers.
In the 70’s and 80’s the hottest art show on tv was a fro-licious, soft spoken painter on PBS. Bob Ross would narrate his work by telling viewers how to paint “happy little clouds” and “Happy little trees”.
Now Owen is playing a character very clearly based on the beloved Ross in his new film “Paint”.
The cast of hysterical people include cast that includes Wendi McLendon-Covey, Lusia Strus, Michaela Watkins, Stephen Root and Lucy Freyer.
IFC Films plans to release the comedy in theaters on April 7. Later in the year, viewers will be able to stream it on AMC+. Check out the trailer.
