Madonna has been getting a little wild lately, but she got to express her inner greatness this month when she graced the cover of Vanity Fairs first ever ICON ISSUE.
The magazine collaborated with its French and Italian counterparts for the issue that sees Madge in full religious regalia. She was dressed for the shoot by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier and more.
“In this very special issue, Madonna becomes Madonna again: an icon. Not just the embodiment of a musical trend or a style of dress, but a figure as disturbing as she is sacred,” Olivier Bouchara, Head of Editorial Content for Vanity Fair France, said in a press release.
