Yesterday we saw A&E’s entry into the popular trend of captivating cultural documentaries. Today we learn Amazon Prime isn’t sleeping on the genre either.
Amazon Music presents “For Love & Country,” which takes a close look at the black artist in country music who are changing the scene and being accepted.
Amazon describes it as: “Country music has always been Black music. For Love & Country examines the genre’s past through the lens of a new generation of Black artists claiming space in Nashville, and transforming country music in the process.”
Serious discussions were made via a panel discussion that comprised Breland, Blanco Brown, Shy Carter, Brittney Spencer, Amythyst Kiah, Reyna Roberts, Frankie Staton, Willie Jones, and Mike Floss, who all starred in the documentary.
For Love & Country is currently playing on Amazon here.
