I’ve intentionally stayed away from the Kanye madness because of how sensitive the issue with mental health is and who am I to tell another person to take mind altering meds. That is till I think you become a threat to others, which I’m starting to feel Kanye genuinely is.
Enter Coachella. Arguably the most popular of all the US music festivals and the one I have to guess performers want to be at the most.
Not too long ago Kanye said he wouldn’t perform at the fest unless Billy Eilish was canceled from it because he felt she dissed Travis Scott. Now he may be the one getting canceled.
Now more than 30,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org urging Coachella organizers to pull West from the 2022 festival’s Sunday headlining slot.
“We have watched Kanye harass, manipulate, and hurt Kim [Kardashian], Pete [Davidson], and others for over a year now. No one seems to want to stand up to him, and the ones that do, he puts under fire as well,” reads the statement on the petition. “Most recently, he has been threatening actual bodily harm on others. This is ridiculous that he is allowed to freely do this. Coachella (along with other brand names that are still working with him) should be ashamed of themselves and should not be giving him any more of a platform. Please sign & share!”
Kanye has already been dumped from performing at the Grammy’s and blocked from using Instagram for 24 hours.
