Jeopardy champ Amy Schneider is saying goodbye to cubical life and hello to the world of celebrity.
Yesterday she recently quit her day job as a software engineering manager following her historic run on the game show.
“Some of you may have heard, but I quit my day job yesterday!” she wrote on Twitter. “It’s a bit nerve-wracking to pivot from software engineer to… public figure, I guess?”
“But regardless of the outcome I’m so excited to spend the next couple years at least tackling this new challenge!” she added.
I gotta say I think it’s a we bit presumptuous to assume you’re about to make a career of being a game show winner, but I suppose Ken Jennings did it. Before being the new part time host of Jeopardy, Ken was a motivational speaker stemming from his successful run on the show.
No word on how Amy will fill her days, but one thing is for certain, she’s earned a break and time to evaluate.
