Endometriosis is NO JOKE. And I am so happy that Amy Schumer was able to welcome her baby boy into the world before things progressed this far.
Over the weekend Amy had her uterus and her appendix removed because of the toll endometriosis has taken on her body.
Amy’s husband filmed her in the hospital the day after the surgery so she could explain what’s going on.
“So, it’s the morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out,” she told the camera. “The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed. He removed my appendix because the endometriosis had attacked it.
“There was a lot, a lot of blood in my uterus and I’m, you know, sore and I have some, like, gas pains,” Schumer added.
We really wish her the best of health. This is nothing to play around with!! If you suffer from painful periods, please talk to your doctor about it!
