The first hunk to hit HGTV back on the show Trading Spaces has taken himself of the market!
Ty Pennington proposed to his girlfriend Kellee Merrell Wednesday, and she said yes!
“It’s the ‘yes’ for me…,” the 56-year-old “Ty Breaker” star captioned an Instagram photo of 33-year-old Merrell’s left hand as she wore a teardrop-shaped ring.
The cute love story started back in 2010 when they met in Toronto while Ty was filming a show and the two stay in contact over the years.
They reconnected in 2020 and chose to quarantine together. Which seems to be a test a lot of couples gave their relationship before breaking up or making it official.
“I have admired Kellee from afar for years. She’s a beautiful person inside and out,” Pennington told People. “Luckily our paths finally crossed at the right time. It’s one of those things where you just feel happy being around a person. I never thought I would get married, but she changed that. Glad I waited for the one.”
