The 2021 Golden Globes are making history!
On Wednesday morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards, revealing that for the first time ever, more than one woman has been nominated in the best director category.
Making up the majority of the group, the three women nominated for the coveted award are directors Chloé Zhao for Nomadland, Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman, and my bff Regina King for One Night in Miami.
David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin round out the rest of the category for their films, Mank and Trial of the Chicago 7, respectively.
The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will air on Sunday, Feb. 28 starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC. Get a complete list of nominees here at the GG site.
