So much of this brings me joy. I watched the first few seasons of Housewives of Ocean City. It was the first to come out and it was novel. Castmate Jeana Keough was the highlight for me. She was strong, funny, level headed. She would never be on the show now because she isn’t nearly dramatic enough. She’d kick all their asses though.
Anyway, I digress…
As a younger woman, Jeana was a model and like most models in the 80’s, she married a baseball player. When the show started they were still married but they soon divorced.
Now I learn that Jeana Keough once had the great Patrick Nagel paint her likeness and that painting was just auctioned in October. Bringing in an impressive $350,000!
“This Patrick Nagel of myself has hung in my bedroom 30 years today,” she captioned an Instagram photo of the art piece. “In an hour it’s being sold at live.ha.com live auction at heritage auctions lot 8027 bring your a game!”
As to why she decided to part with the image, the mother of three added in the comments that “it’s something the kids don’t care about. I have more.” LET ME BE YOUR KID!!
