I was very confused as well. Lets break it down.
So Sean Penn has this organization called CORE. The org helps with all the world problems you push out of your mind so that you can deal with your own day to day crap. Things like world hunger, refugees and access to education.
To raise awareness, Penn has gathered up a group of impressive celebs to do a table read if Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The movie that made him famous in the role of Spicoli.
Brad and Jen are just two of the celebs that will be assuming roles at the reading. Also announced, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LaBeouf, Morgan Freeman, Henry Golding, and Dane Cook.
Dane is an activist with CORE.
The live event will stream on the Facebook and TikTok accounts of Penn’s organization CORE on August 21 at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PST.
Fans can also stream the feed on LiveXLive, where they’ll be able to donate to Core and other organizations currently battling the coronavirus pandemic.
