Modern Family’s Ariel Winter was trying to find her heritage and make some yummy Greek food while on lockdown.

‘I was trying to make Greek food, ’cause I’m Greek and so I was like: “All right, I’m gonna try all these new things. I wanna try and make this. I wanna try and make this dish I love,” she said on Access.
Ariel is Q’ing with her boyfriend, Luke Benard.
‘And I had chopped four onions just before I chopped this one thing. Chopped four onions and it was great. And then I – and I just got new knives too.’
The TV star shared: ‘So I went to chop a peeled tomato and sliced the top part of my thumb off on a peeled tomato.’
She recalled that ‘my boyfriend and i were looking at my thumb as I sa – like, we both, like random – we were talking and then like as I did it, it like, it sliced right through and we both were just like….’ she said, pulling an aghast face.
Ariel began ‘hyperventilating’ in disbelief rather than crying, ‘and I apparently sliced an artery or something like that, so I bled so much and so we had to go to the hospital and he actually brought the tip of my finger to the hospital.’
During their stay at the hospital the nurse ‘actually just gave it to me in a plastic bag and didn’t like tell me that it was the tip of my thumb too, so I accidentally threw it away and we had to go get it.’
She’s fine now, but we should all heed her warning. I have had way too many cutting accidents.
