Quick back story icymi. On Wednesday we learned that Scarlett Johanson told the Hollywood Reporter that she loves Woody Allen and would work with him at any time. She said she’s spoken to him about allegation against him of sexual misconduct and he’s been very forthcoming with her. “He maintains his innocence, and I believe him.” She’s already made 3 films with him.
But I think what most upset people was when she seemed almost dismissive of accusers stating, “It’s hard because it’s a time where people are very fired up, and understandably. Things needed to be stirred up, and so people have a lot of passion and a lot of strong feelings and are angry, and rightfully so. It’s an intense time.”
So, ok. Enter Dylan Farrow. Dylan is not only Woody Allens daughter, she also sisters with Soon-Yi, Woody Allens wife. If this is news to you I suggest you Wiki Allen when you’re done here.
So Farrow comes out swinging.
Because if we’ve learned anything from the past two years it’s that you definitely should believe male predators who “maintain their innocence” without question. Scarlett has a long way to go in understanding the issue she claims to champion. https://t.co/S1NmttL9tJ

Which led to Jon Lovett to respond with a fact attack:
– Babysitter reports finding Allen with his head in Dylan’s lap
– Pediatrician calls police after Dylan describes separate assault
– Allen was in therapy for his contact with Dylan
– Judge denying Allen custody: “grossly inappropriate” & “measures must be taken to protect” Dylan https://t.co/r5van9wlLE— Jon Lovett (@jonlovett) September 4, 2019
Johansson, 34, famously voiced her support for the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements early on, calling out James Franco at the 2018 Women’s March for wearing a Time’s Up pin to that year’s Golden Globes only to be accused of sexual misconduct. (He later denied the accusations).
So It will be interesting to see how her PR team addresses this nightmare.
