I’ve said before that while ending up on a reality show “for stars” is the sign your career is either over, if you were famous, or starting, if you’re coming from sports or another reality show. So it’s always interesting to see who’s going up and who’s coming down. The results are in.
“Dancing with the Stars” revealed its newest cast, boasting boldfaced names including Christie Brinkley, “The Bachelorette” Hannah Brown, “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown, country singer Lauren Alaina, “Dawson’s Creek” star James Van Der Beek, NFL legend Ray Lewis, former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke, NBA star and Khloe Kardashian ex-husband Lamar Odom, “Kenan and Kel” star Kel Mitchell, former Supremes singer Mary Wilson, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and “The Office” star Kate Flannery.
Van Der Beek is our wild card in this list. This could be good for him and I suspect he can move, so he has a shot at actually winning. But he’s neither new to fame, nor on his way out.
