Tina Fey announced tonight at Netflix FYSEE (A panel press junket) that there WILL be an official ending to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and it will come in the form of an interactive stream special.
According to Fey this will officially complete the series, as she said “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes.”
Last year Black Mirror (also a Netflix show) released the first interactive streaming show which saw a great response from viewers.
Fans have been complaining that their believed show was left dangling, so hopefully this will help ease the pain. It’s due out in January of next year.
