An anonymous buyer paid more than 56 thousand dollars for the wedding dress belonging to slain actress Sharon Tate. She was murdered by followers of Charles Manson in 1969 and at the time she was pregnant with director Roman Polanski’s child.
She also had 4 friends (Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring and Steven Parent) staying over who were also murdered at the hands of Mansons tripped out hippie goons.
Tate and Polanski were married in London in 1968. At the wedding, she wore an ivory silk mini wedding dress that sold at a California auction on Saturday, Nov. 17 for a whopping $56,000.
