An ASOS choker necklace has been branded ‘vile and insensitive’ by customers who say it ‘glorifies suicide imagery’.
The Latex Flamer Choker, designed by a brand named Hanger, resembles a belt and is worn fastened around the neck.
The item, priced at $60 (£45 on the site b/c it’s UK based), has provoked fury among on social media, with users describing the name of the product – and the imagery used to sell it – as ‘sickening’.
Following the criticism, the choker appears to have been removed from the ASOS website, but it’s already made it’s impression on the social masses.
