Hilton heir Barron Hilton is to marry the epically named socialite Tessa Gräfin von Walderdorff, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
Barron, 27, proposed to Tessa last week by the pond in Central Park.
She posted a picture of them kissing in front of the landmark Gapstow Bridge on Instagram and wrote, “Better than a fairytale .?.?. engaged to my best friend, my soul mate, the love of my life. Forever and for always ? @barronhilton.”
We’re told the couple plans to marry next year.
Sources say that Barron’s parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, are “delighted about the engagement, as are his sisters, Paris and Nicky. They think Tessa is a great influence on Barron and she has calmed down his partying ways.”
In 2011, the Hiltons took out $10 million in equity on their Bel Air, Calif., mansion to help Barron after he was slapped with a huge $4.6 million DUI fine, stemming from a car accident in 2008, in which a man hit by Barron’s car was seriously injured.
He was also in the headlines in 2013 after he was allegedly attacked and punched in the face while partying during Art Basel Miami Beach with a group that included Lindsay Lohan.
Tessa’s father is Franziskus von Walderdorff, a photographer and filmmaker. Her mother is Anna Brühwiler-Verreccia, of Danish, Swiss and French descent. Tessa is an actress, writer and currently an account-services intern at creative agency Laird + Partners.
It’s believed that Barron and Tessa have been dating for a while. He recently posted a picture of her in a white gown and wrote, “Love capturing this one off guard .?.?. always in awe .?.?. my beautiful angel.” The gown — by designer Maggie Norris — is for their engagement photo shoot.
Barron’s reportedly following in his family’s footsteps by getting into the hotel business, but opening a hipper chain of hotels.
Barron is the latest in the Hilton family to settle down. Nicky married James Rothschild, and their second child is due soon. Paris is dating actor Chris Zylka, and friends hope they will be engaged soon.
